more quality time with Jesus Christ

We rejoice in your desire to draw nearer to the Lord Jesus Christ, for He is the source of all wisdom, peace, and strength. Your heart’s cry to spend more quality time with Him is precious in His sight, and we stand with you in this pursuit. The Scriptures remind us, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8 WEB). This is a promise we can cling to, when we seek Him, He will never turn us away.

Yet we must also examine our hearts and schedules, for the enemy seeks to distract us with busyness, entertainment, or even good things that crowd out the best thing, time with our Savior. Jesus Himself said, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB). Let us not be deceived into thinking we can thrive spiritually without prioritizing communion with Christ. Every other pursuit, work, relationships, hobbies, must take second place to our time with Him.

We encourage you to set aside a specific time each day for prayer, reading God’s Word, and quiet reflection. Start small if needed, but be consistent. The Psalmist declares, "Early will I seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water" (Psalm 63:1 WEB). Let this be your posture, one of hunger and thirst for righteousness. Do not be content with mere religious activity; crave the presence of the Living God.

We also rebuke any spirit of complacency or procrastination that may be hindering you. The Lord is not pleased with half-hearted devotion. Revelation 3:16 warns, "So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth" (WEB). This is a sobering truth, God desires wholehearted worship, not mere lip service. Let us repent of any lukewarmness and ask the Holy Spirit to ignite a fresh fire within us.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the privilege of knowing You and being known by You. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who desires to spend more quality time with You. Father, we ask that You would create in them a clean heart and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Remove every distraction, every excuse, and every competing priority that seeks to steal their time with You.

Lord, teach them to number their days, that they may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12). Help them to rise early, to seek Your face, and to delight in Your Word. May they find joy in Your presence, for in Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11). Father, we ask that You would draw them deeper into intimacy with You. Let them hear Your voice clearly and follow You wholeheartedly.

We rebuke every spirit of slothfulness, distraction, and spiritual apathy in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against their time with You shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, fill them with a holy dissatisfaction for anything less than Your fullness. May they be like the deer panting for streams of water, longing for You alone (Psalm 42:1).

Father, we also pray for accountability and encouragement. Surround them with fellow believers who will spur them on in their walk with You. Let them be an example to others in their devotion and love for You. May their life bear much fruit for Your glory, and may they never be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ (Romans 1:16).

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. You have promised that if we seek You, we will find You (Jeremiah 29:13). We trust in Your Word and believe that as our brother/sister draws near to You, You will draw near to them. May their time with You be sweet, transformative, and life-giving. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Continue to press into the Lord, dear one. Do not grow weary in doing what is right, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Let your heart echo the words of the Psalmist: "One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple" (Psalm 27:4 WEB). This is the cry of a soul fully satisfied in God alone. May it be your cry as well.

We were so encouraged by your request. That desire for more quality time with the Father is itself something He puts in our hearts, and we are glad to pray with you for it to grow.

We have found it helps to think of this less as trying harder and more as training gently over time. Like preparing for a long race, it is not about one big effort but about small, regular steps that slowly shape us. A few quiet minutes offered consistently can do more than an occasional long stretch that leaves us tired or discouraged. It is a lifelong process, and He sees you as a work in progress with patience and love.

One simple way to begin is to choose a single, realistic window you can keep most days, even ten or fifteen minutes, in the same place if possible. Keep your Bible close, turn off distractions, and let that be your unhurried time to pray and listen. If you miss a day, just return the next day without guilt and continue. The heart behind the time matters more than getting it perfect.

We are praying for you.

Father, thank You for the hunger You have placed in our friend for You. Draw them closer as they seek You, give them grace to make space for You each day, and let that time be sweet and steady. Help them to know Your nearness and to be formed more and more into the likeness of Christ. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a blessed and holy desire you have expressed, and it is one that the Lord Himself delights to fulfill. Fellowship with God was one of the richest privileges of unfallen man, and through our Lord Jesus Christ that fellowship is restored, for truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus is thoughtful toward you and lovingly condescends to commune with you. He Himself prepares the feast and with boundless condescension helps you to it. Therefore come and break your fast with Jesus. Many a battle has been lost because soldiers were not in good condition for the fight, and it is important that you should be in a flourishing spiritual condition within. To spend quality time with Him is to be strengthened for every duty and trial.

God in Christ is with you in blessed communication. He has come so near as to enter into commerce with you by hallowed conversation. In prayer you talk with God, and when you pray with faith, Christ talks with you. In the Word He speaks to you and in you. What shape does power with God take, but prayer. And there is also a communion of meditation, when your mind is freed from the cares of earth and Christ descends and talks with His children and gives sweet communion.

Be encouraged then to seek Him daily. Set apart time to be alone with God, to hear His voice in the Scriptures and to speak with Him in prayer, knowing that He hears you. He who has washed you from your sins in His own blood and made you His own will not turn away the soul that seeks His face. As you look to the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, you will find not a distant deity, but Emmanuel, God with us, in the nearest possible association and fullest reconciliation.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that through Your Son Jesus Christ we have access to Your presence and peace with You. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would draw this dear soul into ever deepening fellowship with You. Grant hunger for Your Word, delight in prayer, and quietness of heart to meditate upon the sufferings and glory of Christ. Teach Your statutes, keep this life abiding in Christ, and let every day be marked by more and more quality time spent with You, to Your glory and to the strengthening of faith. Grant that this communion may bear fruit in holiness, joy, and renewed knowledge of Your love. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your desire for more quality time with Jesus Christ is itself a good and gracious work of God in your heart, and I join you in thanking Him for it and asking Him to increase it.

We pray together that our Heavenly Father will draw you ever closer to His Son, and help you to dwell with Him continually, not only for a moment but through your whole life. For the one who belongs to Christ is called to keep feast always, with a conversation that is in heaven, holding communion with the Lord in prayer, in the Scriptures, in worship, and in having Him within you.

Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we thank You that You hear us always through Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask in the Name of Jesus that You would help our brother to spend more and more quality time with You. Teach him to love Your presence, to seek You early and to remain with You through the day. Give him hunger for Your Word, steadiness in prayer, and a heart that turns quickly to You. Wash away what distracts and wearies, arm him with good works, and make his life fruitful to Your glory. Keep him from seeking mere relaxation and help him to find true rest in Christ alone. Confirm him and keep him unreprovable until the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom with You and the Holy Spirit be glory forever. Amen.

Continue to set apart a fixed time each day for prayer and for reading the Scriptures, even if it is brief at first, and guard it faithfully. Speak to the Lord plainly and from the heart, as to a friend who hears you always, and let His Word dwell in you richly. As you do this, He will enlarge your love for Him and make that time sweeter and longer, until your whole life becomes communion with Him.

It is a beautiful and right desire you have expressed, and the Father delights to answer it. To know Jesus is not only to believe facts about Him but to enter into a vital, life changing relationship with Him. The Scripture says whosoever believes into Him shall not perish but have everlasting life, and that everlasting life is first of all a quality of life, the very quality of life that was seen in Jesus Himself. It is that quality that draws us and it is that quality that grows only as we spend time with Him.

Jesus Himself showed us the necessity and the pattern for this. Though crowds pressed upon Him all day to be taught and healed, He rose very early, while it was still dark, and went to a solitary place to pray and commune with the Father. If He, the Son of God, sought that quiet, set apart time, how much more do we need it. Like the ruler who came to Him at night away from the multitudes to have private time one to one, we also need to step away from noise and activity to be alone with Him.

I pray that the Heavenly Father will give you a growing hunger for that fellowship and the grace to protect it. May He help you to set aside a quiet place, free from distraction, where you can open His Word, pour out your heart in prayer, and simply wait in His presence. Remember His promise that where two or three are gathered in His name He is there in the midst, and that He is with you always, even to the end of the age. He is not distant. He is moved with compassion toward you and is willing to meet you as you come.

Time is short, even if we should live many years, especially compared to eternity, so may the Lord teach you to redeem the time and to keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. As you look to Him daily, He will transform you more into His likeness and deepen that sweet communion by His Holy Spirit.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask that You draw my brother and sister into ever more quality time with You. Create a thirst that only Your presence can satisfy, provide the quiet moments, guard them from distraction, and let each time with You enrich their faith, their peace, and their walk. Let them know Your nearness and be changed by beholding Jesus. Amen.
