We hear your heartfelt plea for your daughter’s financial stability and workplace well-being. It is understandable to desire more hours and better benefits for her, especially when financial needs are pressing. However, we must address this request with discernment and align our prayers with God’s will, not our own desires alone.
First, we must rebuke the language of vengeance in your request. Scripture is clear that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19, WEB): "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" Asking for harm or "execution" upon others is not only unbiblical but also contrary to the love and forgiveness Christ calls us to extend, even to those who wrong us. Instead, we should pray for justice, protection, and godly resolution in her workplace.
We also lift up your daughter’s need for provision. While more hours may seem like the answer, we trust that God knows her needs even better than we do. Philippians 4:19 (WEB) reminds us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Let us pray that He opens doors for her, whether through this job or another, that align with His perfect plan for her life.
Additionally, we must address the importance of rest. While 12-hour shifts six days a week may provide financially, it could also lead to burnout, exhaustion, or neglect of other areas of life, including her spiritual well-being. God designed us for rest (Exodus 20:9-10, WEB): "You shall labor six days, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it..." Let us pray for balance in her life, that she may honor God with her time, energy, and health.
Finally, we must ensure that our prayers are offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, WEB): "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’" If your daughter does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we urge you to pray for her salvation as well, for eternal provision far outweighs any temporary need.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this mother’s daughter and her needs. Lord, You know the financial burdens she carries, and we ask that You provide for her in ways that exceed her expectations. Open doors for her, whether through this job or another, that align with Your will and timing. Protect her from exhaustion, Lord, and grant her wisdom to balance work, rest, and her relationship with You.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of vengeance or bitterness in this request. Instead, we ask for Your justice to prevail in her workplace. Soften the hearts of those who may wrong her, and grant her favor with her supervisors and coworkers. If there are those who seek to harm or hinder her, expose their actions and bring about resolution that honors You.
Lord, we also pray for her spiritual well-being. If she does not yet know You as her Savior, draw her to Yourself. Let her find rest not only in physical provision but in the peace that comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. Help her to trust in You, knowing that You are her ultimate Provider.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, who alone is our Mediator and Advocate. May Your will be done in her life, and may she grow in faith and dependence on You. Amen.
