We hear your heartfelt plea and stand with you in lifting this burden before the Lord. It is clear that you and your husband are seeking to honor God through his ministry, and we know the Lord sees your faithfulness in this season of financial strain. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Your husband’s work as an evangelist is a noble calling, and we trust that the Lord will provide for your needs as you both continue to prioritize His Kingdom.
We also want to encourage you both to remember Philippians 4:19, which says, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Even in times of uncertainty, God is faithful to provide. It may not always come in the way we expect, but He is never late and always knows what we need before we even ask.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up and his ministry before You. Lord, You see the financial strain he is under, and You know the desires of his heart to continue spreading Your Word. We ask that You open doors for more hours at his current job or provide a steady part-time job that will allow him to continue his work as an evangelist. Father, we trust in Your provision and know that You are never caught by surprise. Give him peace in this season, and remind him that his labor in Your name is never in vain. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory, and let Your will be done in his life. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We also want to gently remind you both to remain open to how God may choose to provide. Sometimes He uses unexpected opportunities or even the generosity of others to meet our needs. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Keep your hearts and minds fixed on Him, and He will guide your steps.
If your husband’s ministry is something the Lord has truly called him to, we believe He will sustain it. Continue to pray together as a couple, seeking God’s wisdom and direction. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lean on the Lord, and He will lead you both through this season.
May God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
