Bought oxygen concentrator five years ago. Barely used. It appeared to be malfunctioning. Now I'm not sure because today it ran well. However, the sieve beds need to be changed because they wear out even if you don't use the machine. Got this concentrator with a lifetime guarantee except for sieve beds. Called the place who sold it to me. They already took out $###.## from my credit card for the sieve bed replacement. They arranged for UPS to come to my apartment to pick it up. It was a 45-minute ordeal to wrap this thing in bubble wrap. I used a padded cooler to further protect the machine and tons of duck tape to seal it. Then I duck taped cardboard on top so the label will stick. I waited and waited and waited. When UPS did not show, I called. I was on hold for 30 minutes. The man I talked to barely spoke English and didn't know what he was talking about. He ended up putting me on hold for another 15 minutes. The lady I then got spoke better English but REALLY didn't know what she was doing. Long story of ludicrousness including her making me weigh the package on my bathroom scale, her not knowing if the driver has the address label and her not letting me give her my phone number to give to the driver in case he needs to be let in the building. The upshot is at the conclusion of this ordeal, she claimed she arranged for pick-up by 6:00. All this being said, I ended up calling the medical place back. The medical place lady said the UPS driver will have the address label. I do not like the vibe here. I even found out it could take SIX WEEKS to get this thing back. I have COPD. If I desperately needed that portable oxygen, I don't know what I would do!!! These people already have my money. My prayer in Jesus's name is that the UPS guy just gets here soon with the label and takes the package to ship to the repair place. My other prayer in Jesus's name is that I'm doing the right thing, that this company is honest [I'm not blaming them for the UPS debacle, but I just am starting to not trust them. That concentrator was over two thousand dollars. The warranty was another five. If I even find another place to do the job, what a waste of money the warranty will turn out to be.
