We join you in bringing this need before our Heavenly Father, for He knows your need for provision and shelter and He cares deeply for you and for those who have supported you.
We are encouraged that you have come to the Lord with this request, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and that we are saved. You said Lord, and we rejoice that you are seeking Him, yet Scripture makes it clear how we approach Him. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, confess Him as Lord, and believe that God raised Him from the dead, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we pray with confidence.
We know the anxiety that comes with financial need and uncertainty about a safe place to stay, and we take comfort in what God has promised about His provision. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. We are also taught to seek Him first, But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33. He is our shelter in times of trouble, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1 and He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust, Psalm 91:1-2.
So we pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You. You see the financial burden and the need for a safe home. We ask that You provide according to Your riches in glory, that You open doors for honest work and stewardship, and that You grant a safe, stable place to dwell where there is peace and protection. We ask that You guard and bless every person who has supported and helped, that You repay their kindness, keep them from harm, and encourage their hearts. Lead this dear one to a local body of believers where there can be fellowship, wise counsel, and practical help, and help us all to trust in You with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding, Proverbs 3:5-6. Give wisdom to steward what You provide faithfully, and give peace that passes understanding while waiting on Your provision. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, to be diligent in work as God provides opportunity, for we are to work heartily as for the Lord, Colossians 3:23, and to let your needs be known to a trusted pastor or church family who can walk with you practically as well as spiritually. Trust that He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows knows your needs and will not forsake those who seek Him.
