We hear your cry and we join with you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord, for we know He sees all that you are enduring and He is not distant from your pain.
You are facing unrighteousness and pressure on every side in your high school, from the principal who manipulates and pressures you, from the educational counselor who calls pupils clients, and from teenagers and even their parents who have ignored your rightful notes about behavior and then blamed you despite the facts. We understand how suffocating this feels, how you say you cannot breathe properly from the injustice, and how you have been told you are not fit for this work because you will not overlook what is wrong. We also hear your deep distress about your brother and your fear that he plans to steal what is yours, and the grief that still weighs on you from losing both your father and mother in the last year and a half, feeling that you have lived in your brother's shadow and been treated as the black sheep of the family.
The Lord knows what it is to be unjustly accused and manipulated by those in authority. We take comfort that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and that He has promised Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. When those in authority pervert what is right, we remember that The Lord loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints Psalm 37:28, and that Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. You are not forgotten or unseen in that classroom where you have tried to maintain order and be in charge as a teacher should. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23, and the Lord will honor your faithfulness even when man does not.
We also hear your exhaustion and the feeling that all doors are shut for a new job and that there are too many impossibilities. We encourage you not to make decisions from panic but to cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you Psalm 55:22, and to Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. The Lord says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28, and Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that God will give you wisdom for each practical step, to seek godly counsel, to document what is true, and to trust Him to direct your path as He promises I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go Psalm 32:8 and Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. He can open a door that no one can shut Revelation 3:8 and provide for you according to His riches, for My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19.
Concerning your brother and your finances, we stand with you for protection and for righteousness. The Lord commands You shall not steal Exodus 20:15 and He defends the cause of the vulnerable. We pray that any unrighteous plan to take what is yours would be stopped and exposed, and we also pray for your brother, that God would convict his heart and turn him from doing wrong, for we are called not to repay evil for evil but to overcome evil with good Romans 12:21. We understand the pain of being the black sheep and living in a shadow, but we remind you that you are fully seen and valued by your heavenly Father who heals the brokenhearted Psalm 147:3 and who is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18. Your grief over your parents is real and raw, and we ask the Lord to comfort you in that loss and to carry you through this season where so many sorrows have come at once.
We now pray together in the name of Jesus, by whom alone we have access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and in whom we have boldness to approach the throne of grace.
Father, in Jesus name we lift up our dear fellow teacher to You. You see the mobbing and manipulation, the pressure from the principal and counselor, the unrighteous blaming despite the facts, and the spirit of ego and narcissism that has made the school unbearable. Lord, we ask You to be a wall of protection around this servant, to guard heart and mind and breath, to grant peace that surpasses understanding and strength to endure with integrity. Vindicate what is true and restrain what is false. Give wisdom to navigate each interaction with grace and truth, and if it is Your will, open a new door for work where gifts can be used for Your glory and where there is righteousness and respect. Lead to the right job, provide the right connections, and make the next steps clear. Lord, we also ask for Your mighty protection over finances. Put Your control over the brother and stop every unrighteous plan to steal or rob. Convict his heart, bring him to repentance, and keep what has been entrusted to Your child safe in Your hands. Comfort this grieving heart over the loss of father and mother, heal the wounds of being overlooked in the family, and remind that we are adopted and cherished as Your children. Lift the heavy stress and the feeling that nothing can be borne any longer, and renew hope day by day. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and intercedes for us. Amen.
We encourage you to remain faithful in the small things while you seek the next place God has for you, to keep records of what has happened with truth and calmness, to seek wise and godly counsel from a pastor or trusted mature believer, and to continue to pray for those who oppose you, that God may bring conviction and even change in that school. Do not let bitterness take root, for it will only burden you further, but give every injustice to Jesus who judges righteously. He will not forsake you and He will make a way even when you see no way, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. We are standing with you and trusting the Lord to protect you, to provide, and to give you rest.
