Please lay your hands on K-J and Harold and indeed all those who have lost their mothers.

Lift them up today, gently hold them, wipe away their tears and let them know you are there and that one day very soon they will be reunited with their loved ones.

Amen.

Prayer Family, I come today asking for prayers of peace and comfort for our brother in faith, Harold, and myself. Both of us lost our mothers last year, and this will be our first Mother's day without them. I was doing pretty well, I thought, until I was in the store buying my mother-in-law's Mother's Day card. Suddenly a very sad, heavy spirit came upon me and the tears started to flow. I ask for prayers today for all those who have lost their mothers ~ that God's peace and comfort might dwell in us deeply. I praise God for the lives of faith that Harold's mom and my mom led, and for the countless ways in which our mothers shape our lives. They are truly gifts of God. I also pray that those who still have their mom or a significant female figure in their earthly lives celebrate them with much joy, love and appreciation. In the holy and precious name of Jesus I ask these things.

Thank You Father, for allowing K-j and myself to have been blessed by the mothers that You gave to us. I pray for her and myself and all others here that have lost their mothers, but have gained an angel in heaven that stands by Your side. When my mother first died, I went through that stage where I couldn't believe You would take somebody so dear to me away, but then I realized that we all must go at Your timing, and that my hurting was in proportion to how much I had truly been blessed with a loving mother. How awful it would be to not have ever known that special love. Thank You for the love that You have bestowed upon K-J with her mother, and for the love that my mother and myself had. In the name of Your Son Jesus, who is love, Amen.

Lord I pray for your comfort and peace in their time of need. Let them know that they will surely re-unite with their loved ones again. Let them know that you have them safely in the palm of your hands and that they are smiling down on their beloved children and family. Amen.
