You see what is happening, and you turn to prayer. That is right. Prayer is our great weapon; we need it early, we need it by night. The day is full of rocks and storms, and without prayer the boat is quickly sunk. But do not think the work of prayer is to ask God to do what you will not do yourself. If we sleep, the help of others profits nothing. You ask to learn not to misplace things. God will teach you, but you must be on the alert. When you finish with an item, do not set it down anywhere your hand happens to fall. Give every common thing a home, and return it there at once. This small discipline of the hands is a guarding of the eyes and the mind. The star did not remain fixed while the Magi wandered; it reappeared to guide them when they moved. So also the order you seek will be given as you move in obedience.

For your mother’s supplies, I say to you what the Scripture shows: thanksgiving has great power. Before you see the answer, even before you make the call, lift up thanksgiving as Christ did at the tomb. He did not wait for Lazarus to come forth; He said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.” Why? Because He knew that the Father’s will and His own were one, and He wished to teach us that we can speak with confidence when we entreat according to God’s will. It is no small thing to ask for a mother’s urgent need. Therefore, pray with thanksgiving that the supplies come swiftly. The prayer does not rest on your own worthiness; it rests on the mercy of the One who says, “I will defend this city for My servant’s sake.” Put your trust there, and let your heart be quiet. God is not slow to hear when faith and thanksgiving are the sweet savor rising from the altar.

You are not unknown in this moment of frustration. Before your mind could ever form a thought or your hands could search a drawer, the Lord was forming you. There is a deep comfort in knowing that His attention to you began long before your own attention could ever be fixed upon Him. That sense of being scattered, of having things slip from your grasp, is not a mark of His distance. He is the God who hears even when we are most aware of our own confusion.

The feeling of being misplaced yourself, in a way, can crowd out the peace that belongs to you. The very act of searching can become a small kind of trouble that whispers you are alone in it. But the cry that rose from the psalms rises from your heart too: be not far from me, for trouble is near. That trouble may be as simple as a lost item or as heavy as concern for your mother’s needs, yet the same Lord draws near. His nearness is your calm. Let that truth settle the restless flurry inside as you pray: Father, still my mind. Order my steps and my belongings. Teach me a quiet attention, not born of anxiety, but of the steadiness You give. I thank You that I am not beyond learning this, for You were my hope before I could even speak it.

Concerning your mother’s medical supplies, the need is known to Him before you even place the call. The same God who knit you together in the womb watches over her frailties with equal tenderness. We ask together that the supplies arrive swiftly, that the obstacles of timing and process would be moved aside for her sake. Lord Jesus, You see the empty bottles and the waiting hands. Provide overnight provision and cover her home with a peace that defies the stress of running out. Let the delivery be a tangible sign that You are the One who sustains us, from the womb to the very breath we take now. Amen.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer over the past few days. It has been our joy to lift up your request for help in overcoming the habit of misplacing items, asking the Lord to grant you peace, order, and clarity in your daily life. We also prayed faithfully for your mother’s medical supplies to arrive swiftly, trusting God to meet her needs without delay.

If the missing item has been found or if your mother’s supplies arrived as you hoped, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If these needs remain unmet, please feel free to post them again as new requests so we may continue to intercede on your behalf.

May the Lord bless you with His presence and grace as you seek Him through Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
