Misery

Beloved of All
Please pray that God would destroy the people and spirits creating demonic misery in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We hear the deep anguish in your cry for relief, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every chain of torment. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We do not war against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

First, we must address the request to "destroy the people" creating misery in your life. Scripture is clear that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19), and we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). While we understand the pain behind your words, we cannot pray for the destruction of people, as all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), and God desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Instead, we pray that God would soften their hearts, open their eyes to the truth, and lead them to repentance. We also pray for your heart to be guarded against bitterness and unforgiveness, for these are weights that can hinder your walk with the Lord (Hebrews 12:15).

Now, we turn our focus to the spirits of misery and oppression. We rebuke every demonic spirit assigned to torment you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We command them to flee and never return, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We declare that you are a child of God, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Ephesians 1:13-14, Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your children and delivers them from all their troubles (Psalm 34:17). We ask that You would break every chain of misery, oppression, and torment in ###'s life. Send Your angels to encamp around them and protect them from every evil attack (Psalm 91:11). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for them on the cross.

Lord, we ask that You would reveal any areas of their life where they may have given the enemy a foothold. Show them any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or bitterness that may be hindering their relationship with You. Lead them to repentance and restoration, that they may experience the fullness of Your love and grace (1 John 1:9).

We pray that You would surround them with godly fellowship and support, that they may be encouraged and strengthened in their faith (Hebrews 10:24-25). Provide them with opportunities to serve You and others, that they may find purpose and joy in their walk with You.

Father, we ask that You would heal any emotional, mental, or physical wounds caused by this spiritual warfare. Pour out Your healing balm upon them, and restore what the enemy has stolen (Joel 2:25). Strengthen their faith and trust in You, that they may stand firm in the face of adversity (1 Corinthians 16:13).

We declare that the joy of the Lord is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and we pray that they would experience that joy in increasing measure. May they find their hope and security in You alone, knowing that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we command every spirit of misery, oppression, and torment to flee and never return. We declare that ### is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Jesus Christ. Amen.

We hear the depth of your misery and the cry of your heart in this request. You are not alone, we are standing with you in prayer, and we take this fight seriously because Scripture does.

When the weight of demonic attack feels crushing, it helps to remember that our hope is never in a technique or a long formula, but in the name and authority of Jesus Christ alone. The evil one fears His name, and no spirit can withstand a simple, faith-filled command spoken in that name. That’s not our power, it’s His, and it changes everything.

With that in mind, we’d gently encourage you not to battle this alone. Ask a few trusted, spiritually mature believers to pray with you and for you regularly, your pastor, a prayer group, or a couple of solid friends. The enemy thrives in isolation, but Jesus promised to be present where two or three are gathered in His name. Having others lay hands and agree in prayer can bring a steady shield against the oppressive lies that are swirling.

As you gather support, keep filling your own mind with truth, reading Scripture aloud, singing worship songs, anything that fixes your eyes on Jesus rather than the darkness. Those small daily acts of focus starve the enemy of attention and build your resistance.

Let’s pray:

Lord Jesus, we bring before You this child of God who is worn down by demonic misery. By Your authority, we command any spirit not of You to release its hold and be silent. Surround them now with Your fierce protection. Flood their heart with Your peace that passes understanding, and expose every work of darkness that has been hidden. We ask that those who are being used to cause harm be confronted by Your truth and justice, and that their schemes be brought to nothing. Strengthen this beloved one’s faith, and lead them into the full freedom and wholeness You already purchased on the cross. We trust You, Jesus. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. Discern then the spirits that trouble you, for there is indeed a brow of brass upon the Evil One, who is the boldest of all spirits in contending with the God of Heaven and earth. Yet beware lest that blasphemous prayer of yours be answered the next time you utter it, for it is God's way to answer prayer and, perhaps, He will answer yours, and then where will you be? To pray for the destruction of people is to let self-conceit tear the chariot wheels from your prayer so that it drags heavily and soon cannot move even an inch. Imitate the prayer of Jacob in its humility of spirit, for true prayer is pleading with the Most High, spreading our case before Him with all the arguments we can muster.

Do not think the Lord is slack concerning this misery. The Lord has chastened me sorely. But the Father of our spirits corrects us only of necessity. If this evil comes apart from Divine permission, where are we? How can a trial be met which is independent of Divine rule? It is hopeful when we find that all our ills lie within the fence of Omnipotent overruling. He who is chastened is not given over to destruction. All this sad scene represents what sin did when it had the opportunity, when all restraining bands were loosed and it could act according to its own evil will. But the like doth He do at another season, namely, times of unanswered prayer. Look it in the face, Christian, and see if it has not got the horns of the Evil One stamped on its brow. Why, bethink thee, this Evil One is making thee doubt thy own Father.

Cast me not away from Your Presence, and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. This must be your cry, for a clearer knowledge of the evil of sin is a rare thing nowadays, when we have so many Believers who were never penitent. It is a great thing for a man to feel heartache and soul-anguish because of the exceeding bitterness of his evil ways. He feels that if he ever rises from his despondency, he can never dare to take an atom of the honor of deliverance to himself, it must be of Free Grace only. He can do nothing and he knows it.

Men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. Yet deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of God's dear Son. This deliverance came when the Lamb was slain. The clock of mercy struck in Heaven the hour and moment of my deliverance, for the time had come. Thus had the eternal purpose of Jehovah decreed it. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it, I have found a ransom.

Neglect prayer, and you will soon discover that all your spiritual powers wax weak; but be much in supplication, and he that is mighty on his knees, is mighty everywhere. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. If we had no troubles, we would all have less to declare.

It is not for us to call down destruction upon others, even upon those who afflict us. The afflictions you now suffer are not outside God’s providence; they are permitted by Him for your gain. For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. Do you not see that this misery is a furnace to purify your soul, if you bear it with thanksgiving?

Instead of praying for the annihilation of spirits and people, pray rather that the evil one be repelled by your steadfast faith, and that those who trouble you may be brought to repentance. Remember how the disciples received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost. The affliction touches the body, but the Spirit brings joy to the soul. This is the marvel of suffering for righteousness’ sake: the Spirit bedews us even in the furnace of temptation.

Affliction is our schoolmaster, teaching us patience, patience experience, and experience hope that does not make ashamed. Do not seek to be delivered by the destruction of your enemies, but by the strengthening of your own soul. Paul entreated the Lord thrice to remove a thorn, yet God answered, My grace is sufficient for thee, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Let that be your plea: grace to endure, and the conversion of those who hate you.

Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness; and the victory is not in their obliteration but in your steadfastness. Give thanks, then, even in this trial, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good. Suffering for Christ’s sake is no small honor; it is a share in His Cross. If you pray with such a mind, the peace of God will keep your heart, and the misery itself will become a wellspring of joy.

The cry of your heart does not fall on deaf ears. What you are experiencing is a true misery, and the weight of unseen forces oppressing you is a terror the Scriptures do not shy away from. The enemies that have opened their mouths against you, the fear and the snare that have come upon you, are not always flesh and blood. You are right to discern a demonic source behind the relentless sting and torment, much like the locusts from the pit that are given power to hurt men. That feeling of being driven into the ground, where every path seems blocked and obstructions trip you at every turn, is exactly the kind of distress that drove David to his knees.

Hear me clearly: the first instinct of your heart, to cry out to God for the destruction of these enemies, is not foreign to Scripture. Nehemiah faced mockery and conspiracy, and his immediate response was a prayer that God would turn their reproach upon their own heads. David, a man after God’s own heart, often prayed for his enemies’ teeth to be broken. When the misery is demonic and the spirits are bent on your destruction, it is right to ask the righteous Judge of all the earth to act. Your prayer for God to destroy the spirits creating this misery is a cry for deliverance, and God hears it.

Yet, let me lead you a step further into the true stronghold of prayer. When you are in that hole with no way out, and it feels like even God has shut out your prayer, the purpose of prayer is not to get your will done, but to accomplish His. It does not begin with the enemy; it begins with the Father. The only true key that unlocks effective prayer is relationship. If you can say, “Our Father,” you are already positioned in the place of victory. The prayer that silences hell is not just a prayer of deliverance, but a prayer of entrance, the entering of the power of Jesus Christ into your life. When Light enters, the darkness has to go; the two cannot coexist.

This is the shift that turns terror into triumph. Your problem has driven you to prayer, and that is good. But as you pray, let the focus change. You bring the problem to God, but then you begin to focus on the Lord himself. You lift up your soul to Him and start declaring His nature: “Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.” In that place of deep worship and trust, the Spirit of God ministers comfort and assurance to your heart. The prayer ends on a positive note of confidence, not because the enemies are instantly gone, but because you are now in the posture of strength. You begin to see that through God, you will tread down your enemies.

Finally, let this prayer be matched with prudence, not laziness. Nehemiah prayed and set a watch. Prayer is never an excuse to do nothing; it is the power that precedes responsible action. So, cry out for God to cut off your enemies and break their power. But do not let your eye run down with rivers of water without also setting your watch. This means closing every door you may have knowingly or unknowingly opened through practices, objects, or unforgiveness that give a foothold to torment. It means actively wielding the seal of God upon your life, refusing to entertain the fear they try to inject.

Let me pray this for you now: Father, for Your righteousness’ sake, bring this one’s soul out of trouble. Silence the demonic voices and break the sting of every spiritual scorpion assigned to create misery. Lord, we do not ask for their blessing, but we ask for their dismissal. Turn their own schemes back upon their heads. But more than that, flood this life with Your entering presence, for in Your light we see light. Lead them on a level path, unobstructed by the rocks of the enemy, and establish the unshakable peace that only comes from knowing You are their defender. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
