Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We’re so grateful with you for that peaceful afternoon and restful night, thank you, Jesus. It’s a real encouragement to hear how God met your son in that calm, and we’re joining you today in asking for another day like that.

We’ve been reminded how vital safe, steady love is when someone is walking through trauma and anxiety. Your persistent care, and the way you keep lifting him to the Father, is itself a healing presence in his life. It’s often through those consistent, patient relationships that the deepest restoration takes root, one quiet day at a time.

As you pray, we’d also gently encourage you to keep his medical team informed about anything physical, like the vomiting you mentioned. Wise medical care doesn’t compete with prayer; it can be part of how God brings relief.

Now we pray with you.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the peace You gave this son yesterday. Please guard his mind and heart again today, keep PTSD memories and agitation far from him. Fill his hours with Your calm. Ease every sensory challenge, whether it’s shaving, clothing, or mealtimes. Help him eat without confusion and rest without fear. Protect him from every spiritual attack; silence any voice or influence that is not from You, and let Your peace that passes understanding settle deep within him.

Strengthen his mother and everyone who cares for him. Give them wisdom, patience, and moments of joy. We ask for healing that continues, step by step, and we declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

It fills my heart with joy to hear how the Lord has granted your son a season of calm. You have seen the tender mercy of Jesus, and you do well to praise Him. Yet you cry out for more, more peace, more healing, more restoration, and this is right, for He delights to give.

You plead for perfect peace. Do you not know the promise? “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.” The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even when sorrows surge around, even with loved ones in distress. That peace is not the quiet of a sleeping household, but a deep, abiding calm upon a heart that rests in Christ. Trust Him, not merely for outcomes, but with the whole weight of your son’s affliction. As you do, you shall find Him keeping you both in a double peace, peace, peace.

Your anxieties are many: the daily struggles, the stubbornness, the confusion, the malady of his mind, and the cruel words spoken against him. But anxiety unfits you for the very difficulty you face. It brings a midnight into the soul. Rather, cast every care upon Him who careth for you. The winds may howl, but Jesus is in the vessel; He maketh the storm a calm.

I would bid you look to the healing leaves of the Tree of Life. Not only is Christ’s fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves, the least things about Him, are full of healing virtue. A promise applied by His Spirit, a drop of His blood brought home to the conscience, can work wonders. You ask for healing of body and mind, for the breaking of chains. The same hand that forgave the palsied man his sins, said, “Arise, take up thy bed, and walk.” Pardon and healing are twins born of the love of God. When Jesus looks upon your son, as upon Peter, there is restoration. The crowing of a cock, a glance from the Saviour, such small outward means can turn a soul from bitter wandering back to the shepherd.

Your son’s brokenness is not beyond His mending. He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. It is not human skill, but the still small voice of God that brings the peace which passeth understanding. The same Lord who restored Peter after his fall can restore your son’s joy, his calm, his willing spirit. Only trust; only keep him, in prayer and in the arms of your faith, at the Saviour’s feet.

You dread the return of old habits, the mischief of the enemy, the words of those who curse. Fear not. No weapon formed against him shall prosper. The blood of Jesus cleanseth and protecteth. Let that peace rule in your own heart, and let your mind be stayed on Him. Then shall you see a restoration so complete that the lame man shall leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing.

I commend you to that precious Blood, to the intercession of the Great High Priest, and to the everlasting arms beneath you both. In the calm confidence that He who has begun this good work will perfect it, I bid you go your way, and the peace of God be with you.

I see the fervor of your prayer, and I rejoice with you in the mercies your son has received. Truly the Lord is gracious, granting calm days and peaceful nights. But do not mistake the peace that comes from comfortable circumstances for the peace that Christ gives. He Himself said, "My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you." The world's peace is fleeting and depends on outward things, but the peace of God surpasses all understanding and guards the heart even in the midst of storms.

You ask for many things: calm days, relief from sensory discomfort, the removal of every obstacle. These are not evil requests, yet take care that you do not seek only ease for your son rather than his true good. What advantage is it if the world is at peace with him, but he is at war within himself? That is the most dangerous war of all, when the flesh lusts against the spirit and evil desires rise up. If we have peace with God through a pure conscience and a life of godliness, then no external trouble can harm the soul. Pray above all that your son may love God with his whole heart, that he may learn patience and longsuffering, and that his inner man may be healed. Bodily comfort and a quiet life are good, but they are not the highest aim. The Apostle says we are to lead a quiet and peaceable life "in all godliness and honesty." Without inward peace, no outward calm can profit.

You speak of curses uttered by others. Bless those who curse you, and pray for them. Do not fear the words of men, for no weapon formed against you shall prosper when your trust is in God. The true curse is sin, not the empty speech of the wicked. Seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness, and these other things will be added as He sees fit. Do not be like those in Noah's day, eating and drinking and speaking of peace and safety, while sudden destruction came. Such peace is a mark of insensibility. Be instead sober, watchful, and thankful in all things.

I exhort you, then, to continue in prayer, but let your chief request be for your son's salvation and sanctification. Pray that the peace of Christ may rule in his heart, whatever his outward afflictions may be. The body may be afflicted, yet the inner man is renewed day by day. Do not limit God's healing to the removal of every difficulty; He sometimes permits these trials so that His strength may be made perfect in weakness. Teach your son to offer his struggles as a sacrifice of praise.

In your home, seek peace with all, especially with those who have spoken ill. Forgive as you have been forgiven. The peace the Church pronounces so often, "Peace be unto all", is not a mere form of words; it must be a living reality. If you are at war with any, how can you receive the peace of Christ? Put away all bitterness and wrath, and let your gentleness be known to all.

I commend your steadfast petitions, but I urge you to trust the Lord without dictating the manner of His deliverance. He who began a good work in your son will complete it, but perhaps not as you expect. The healing of the soul is the greater miracle. Pray for that first, and all else will be ordered by His wisdom. The peace of Christ is yours through faith. Cling to it, and let nothing disturb your heart.

What a gift to hear how the Lord granted your son a calm and restful afternoon and night. That was no small mercy; it was Jesus, the Son of God, stepping into your son’s story and saying “peace, be still.” And as you continue to bring him before the throne, take courage from a parent in Scripture who came to Jesus with a sick son. The Lord was miles away, yet He spoke the word and the boy was healed. Distance does not weaken His power. Time does not wear down His love. The same Jesus who honored that father’s cry is listening to yours.

You are asking for true peace, not the fleeting kind the world offers, but the peace Jesus promised His own. He said, “My peace I give to you; not as the world gives.” That peace doesn’t always mean the battle disappears overnight, but it means a steadying presence holds the heart in the middle of it. And that peace grows out of grace. As you and your son rest deeper in the Father’s love, the peace of God begins to guard what anxiety once held captive. So keep praying for his mind to be saturated with that calm, for his dreams to be free of torment, and for his waking moments to be wrapped in the gentleness of the Spirit.

We often wish every healing were instant, but Scripture itself shows us a case where Jesus restored sight in stages. That gradual work was fully divine, just as much as the sudden miracles. Every step forward your son takes, the less confused meal, the clearer word, the seizure-free months, is evidence of God’s hand. He is the Author of all true healing, whether it arrives in a moment or unfolds day by day. Let these small victories build your faith for the bigger ones still to come.

Now, you have sensed that there is a spiritual fight behind many of these struggles, and you are right. In the days of the kings, when wickedness was rampant and the land was filled with witchcraft, the word came: “What peace can there be while all this evil remains?” So you do well to rebuke every word curse and every dark influence in Jesus’ name. The Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil, and the blood He shed speaks a better word over your son than any curse ever could. Stand on that. Declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper.

There is an ancient picture that may help your prayers. Abraham had two sons, one born of human striving, the other of God’s promise. God said to cast out the son of the bondwoman, for he would not share in the inheritance with the son of the free woman. In the same way, all these tormenting habits, the anxiety, the rigid fears, the PTSD echoes, these are not your son’s true inheritance in Christ. They are like that bondwoman’s offspring, trying to claim space that belongs only to the child of promise. Pray that God would cast them out, and that the Spirit would fill your son with the freedom and peace that are his birthright as one loved by the Father.

Remember who is listening to you. Jesus is the Son of David and the Son of God, the Prince of Peace. He knows a father’s love for his son because He Himself was given by the Father as the ultimate sacrifice of love. You can trust Him with your precious child. I will join my faith with yours, asking for another day filled with calm, a night of deep rest, and for the chains of the past to be broken completely. May the peace that surpasses understanding keep your son’s heart and mind in Christ, and may you see the steady advance of His healing work.
