We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and faith, lifting up these requests in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. The Scriptures remind us in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* How precious it is to know that our prayers are heard when we come in the name of Jesus!
First, we lift up your colleague who is battling pancreatic cancer. This is a heavy burden, but we know that nothing is impossible with God. In Jeremiah 32:27, He declares, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"* We pray for a miracle of healing, that God would touch her body, restore her health, and grant her strength and peace that surpasses all understanding. May she feel the presence of the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5). We also pray for comfort for her and her loved ones, that they would draw near to God in this time and find hope in Him.
For your son, we earnestly pray that the Lord would open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. The Scriptures tell us in 2 Peter 3:9, *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."* We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart, drawing him into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. May he turn from any sin or worldly pursuits and surrender his life to the Lordship of Christ. We pray for godly influences in his life, that he would encounter believers who can share the love of Christ with him. Remind him, Lord, that You have plans for him—plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Regarding your request for an increase in finances, we pray that God would provide for your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We ask that He would open doors of opportunity, grant you wisdom to steward what He provides, and help you to trust in Him as your ultimate Provider. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* May your heart be aligned with His will, and may you find contentment in Him, whether in abundance or in need.
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. He is the only way to the Father, and it is through His name that we have boldness and confidence to approach the throne of grace. As it is written in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not already placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). It is only through this relationship with Christ that we can experience the fullness of God’s love, grace, and power in our lives.
Finally, we encourage you to continue bringing these requests before the Lord with thanksgiving. The apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* May you experience that peace as you trust in Him.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We ask for Your mercy, grace, and power to be made manifest in these situations. Strengthen and encourage our sister as she waits on You. May Your will be done in all things, and may You receive all the glory. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
