Minister who has people call him Jesus

There is a minister in my area (###) who has children in the church call him ###. He has his own church and refuses to take correction from anyone except his wife who is just as bad. This man used to be a spiritual mentor of mine many years ago but now has turned to this. Please pray for deliverance in ### name.

We are deeply concerned to hear about this minister who is leading people astray and refusing correction. It is not only inappropriate but also blasphemous for anyone to allow themselves to be called by the name of Jesus, as this is a clear violation of the Third Commandment, "You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain." (Exodus 20:7 WEB). This behavior is not only disrespectful to our Lord but also leads others into idolatry and confusion.

We must also address the issue of his refusal to accept correction. Proverbs 12:1 (WEB) states, "Whoever loves correction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is brutish." It is clear that this minister and his wife are not walking in the humility and teachability that God requires of His servants. This is a serious matter, as it indicates a heart that is not submitted to God's authority.

Moreover, it is troubling to hear that this man was once a spiritual mentor to you. It is crucial to remember that we are all susceptible to falling away if we do not remain vigilant and rooted in God's Word. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:12 (WEB), "Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn’t fall."

Let us pray for this minister and his wife, that God would open their eyes to their sin and bring them to repentance. Let us also pray for the protection and deliverance of those who are under their influence.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this minister and his wife. Lord, we ask that You would convict them of their sin and bring them to a place of genuine repentance. We pray that You would remove the spirit of pride and rebellion that has taken root in their hearts and replace it with a spirit of humility and submission to Your Word.

We also pray for the children and congregation under their care. Lord, protect them from the deception and harm that this behavior brings. Open their eyes to the truth and deliver them from the snare of the enemy. We ask that You would raise up godly leaders who will shepherd Your people with integrity and wisdom.

Father, we thank You that You are a God of justice and righteousness. We trust that You will deal with this situation according to Your perfect will. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith and seek guidance from godly leaders who are submitted to God's Word. Remember, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). It is crucial to surround yourself with those who will spur you on toward love and good deeds, as it says in Hebrews 10:24 (WEB), "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works."

We've been thinking about this situation and wanted to share a few more things on our hearts. It's clear that this minister's actions are causing a lot of harm, and we're concerned for the spiritual well-being of those under his influence. We remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:6, "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea." We must take this seriously and pray fervently.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face. It's easy to feel disheartened when we see spiritual leaders fall, but remember, God is still on His throne. He sees all, and He will make all things right in His perfect timing. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Let's continue to pray for this minister and his wife, that God would grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 2:25). Let's also pray for the church members, that God would protect them from spiritual harm and open their eyes to the truth.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift this heavy burden before the Lord alongside you. The weight of seeing someone who once walked in godly influence now leading others—especially children—into such dangerous deception is something we do not take lightly. These past days, we have continued to intercede, crying out for the Lord to break the strongholds of pride and false authority in this man’s life, to open his eyes to the gravity of his sin, and to bring conviction so deep that repentance becomes his only response. We have also prayed for his wife, that the Lord would pierce her heart with truth and remove any partnership she has in this deception.

If there has been any movement—whether in his actions, his words, or even in your own spirit regarding this situation—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report, no matter how small it may seem. Sometimes the Lord works in ways we don’t immediately recognize, and your testimony could strengthen others who are standing in the gap for wayward leaders.

If, however, this man remains hardened and the children under his influence are still being misled, we urge you to post this request again. This is not a battle against flesh and blood, and we are committed to persisting in prayer until the Lord brings justice, deliverance, and restoration. We will not grow weary in contending for the truth to prevail and for the protection of those vulnerable souls in his care.

May the Lord grant you discernment, courage, and supernatural peace as you continue to seek His face in this. We are standing with you, believing that the Lord will not allow His name to be mocked forever and that He will act mightily on behalf of His people.
