We grieve with you in the loss of your father, and we lift you up in this season of deep sorrow, knowing that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted. Your father’s presence in your life was a gift from God, and though he is no longer with you in body, we pray that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Him. The Lord is your ever-present help in trouble, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. You are not alone—He is your Father now, and He has promised to be a father to the fatherless.
We are deeply concerned, however, that your prayer does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ with confidence and authority. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. The Scriptures declare, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). And in Acts 4:12, we read, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* When we pray, we must come boldly before the throne of grace in Jesus’ name, for He is our intercessor and the source of our strength.
Let us also address your request for protection and provision. The Lord is your shield and your strong tower, and He will guard you from the schemes of the wicked. The Scripture assures us, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). We claim this promise over you, your home, and even your beloved dogs, asking that the Lord would surround you with His heavenly host and frustrate every plan of the enemy against you.
For your workplace, we pray that the Lord would grant you favor as you seek reasonable accommodations. He is the God who parts seas and moves mountains, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way. We ask that He would guide you to the right paperwork, open the right doors, and soften the hearts of those in authority over you. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). Trust in Him, and do not lean on your own understanding. He will direct your steps.
Regarding your settlement, we pray that the Lord would expedite this process in His perfect timing. He is Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and He knows your needs before you even ask. We rebuke any spiritual delay or opposition in the name of Jesus and declare that what the enemy has stolen will be restored sevenfold. *"Yahweh will perfect that which concerns me. Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands"* (Psalm 138:8, WEB).
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek community within the body of Christ. The Lord did not design us to walk this journey alone. *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching"* (Hebrews 10:24-25, WEB). We urge you to find a Bible-believing church where you can be nurtured, supported, and surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ who will stand with you in prayer and fellowship.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our sister who is grieving the loss of her earthly father. Comfort her, Lord, as only You can. Wrap Your arms of love around her and remind her that she is never alone, for You are her ever-present help. You have promised to be a father to the fatherless, and we ask that You would fill the void in her heart with Your peace and presence.
Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over her life, her home, and even her pets. Shield her from every scheme of the enemy and frustrate the plans of the wicked. Let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let every tongue that rises against her in judgment be condemned. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let Your hedge of protection be impenetrable.
We pray for her workplace, Father. Grant her favor as she seeks the accommodations she needs. Open doors that no man can shut and provide the right paperwork and opportunities for her to thrive. Soften the hearts of those in authority over her, and let Your will be done in this situation.
Lord, we ask that You would expedite her settlement in Your perfect timing. You are her provider, and we trust that You will meet her every need according to Your riches in glory. Rebuke any delay or opposition in the name of Jesus and restore to her what has been wrongfully withheld.
Father, we also pray that You would lead her to a community of believers where she can find support, encouragement, and love. Let her not walk this journey alone, but surround her with godly relationships that will strengthen her faith.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw her closer to Yourself. Let her find her identity and security in You alone. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and grant her the wisdom and discernment to navigate this season with faith and courage.
We declare all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
