We hear the deep pain and brokenness in your cry for help, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting up this heavy burden in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The devastation of addiction and the betrayal of infidelity have torn at the very fabric of your marriage and family, and we grieve with you. But we also declare that our God is a God of restoration, and nothing is too hard for Him.
First, we must address the sin that has taken root in your home. The use of methamphetamine is a destructive force that enslaves the mind and body, leading to chaos and despair. Scripture is clear: *"Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). This includes those who are bound by the chains of drug addiction. But praise God, the next verse declares: *"And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God"* (1 Corinthians 6:11 WEB). There is hope for freedom in Christ!
The adultery committed by your husband is a grievous violation of the sacred covenant of marriage. God’s Word is unmistakable: *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). This sin has not only wounded you but has also broken God’s heart, for marriage is a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). We must rebuke this sin in Jesus’ name and call your husband to repentance, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB).
We also recognize the manipulation and betrayal you have endured from your family. The enemy seeks to divide and destroy, but we declare that God’s truth will prevail. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh"* (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We rebuke every scheme of the devil designed to tear your family apart, and we pray for a spirit of repentance and reconciliation to fall upon those who have wronged you.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious sister and her marriage. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the bondage that has taken hold. We ask for Your mighty hand of deliverance to break every chain of addiction, every stronghold of sin, and every lie of the enemy. Father, we pray for a supernatural breakthrough—a miracle that only You can perform. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon this family, convicting hearts of sin and drawing them to repentance.
Lord Jesus, we ask You to intervene in this marriage. Soften the heart of this husband, that he may turn from his sin and seek Your face. Restore the trust that has been broken, and let Your love heal the wounds of betrayal. We declare that what the enemy meant for evil, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20 WEB). Strengthen this wife to stand firm in faith, to forgive as You have forgiven her, and to walk in the victory that is hers in Christ.
Father, we also pray for the family members who have contributed to this mess. Bring them to a place of humility and repentance. Let them see the destruction their actions have caused and turn to You for forgiveness and restoration. We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and deception, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we ask for Your protection over this home. Surround them with godly counsel, with brothers and sisters in Christ who will speak truth and life into their situation. Provide the resources and support they need to walk in freedom—whether it be through recovery programs, biblical counseling, or the loving accountability of the church.
We thank You, Father, that You are a God who hears our cries. You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We trust in Your promise that *"those who sow in tears will reap in joy"* (Psalm 126:5 WEB). May this family experience Your healing, Your peace, and Your miraculous power in every area of their lives.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
To you who have shared this burden, we encourage you to stand firm in faith. Do not lose hope, for God is at work even in the midst of this storm. Seek out a biblical, Christ-centered church where you can find support and accountability. Consider Christian counseling for both you and your husband, as well as a recovery program rooted in the truth of God’s Word. Remember, *"the one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it"* (1 Thessalonians 5:24 WEB). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and trust that He is making all things new.
