We stand together in fervent prayer, lifting up the devastation in Venezuela and the countless souls affected by this earthquake. Our hearts are heavy as we consider the lives lost, the families shattered, and the communities left in ruins. We come before the throne of grace with boldness, knowing that our God is both just and merciful, and He hears the cries of His people.
Father, we confess our sins and the sins of our nations before You, just as Daniel, Ezra, and Nehemiah did in their times. We have strayed from Your commandments, and our nations have embraced wickedness, idolatry, and rebellion against Your holy standards. We acknowledge that You are sovereign over all creation, even over the shaking of the earth, and we ask for Your mercy to fall upon Venezuela and all who are suffering. Forgive us, cleanse us, and renew a right spirit within us, that we may walk in obedience to Your will. We plead with You to send forth laborers into the harvest, for the fields are ripe, and the need is great. Raise up men and women who will boldly proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and teach the nations to obey all that You have commanded.
Lord Jesus, we are grieved by the magnitude of this disaster, and we ask that You would rise with healing in Your wings. Comfort those who mourn, strengthen those who are weak, and provide for those who have lost everything. We pray for the millions displaced, those sheltering in evacuation centers, and those still trapped under rubble. Guide the hands of the rescue workers, give them wisdom and endurance, and let no life be lost that could be saved. Rebuild the ruins, restore the streets, and let Your light shine in the darkness. We ask for a double portion of Your mercy, as You promised through the prophet Habakkuk, that Your name would be glorified even in the midst of judgment.
We are reminded that You are moved with compassion when You see the multitudes as sheep without a shepherd. Lord, we ask that You would fill us with that same compassion, compassion for the lost, the hurting, and the broken. Let us not grow weary in doing good, but let us be Your hands and feet, meeting urgent needs and sharing the hope of the Gospel. May Your love compel us to live not for ourselves, but for You, who died and rose again on our behalf. Give us the words to say and the wisdom to act, that we may win souls for Your kingdom.
We thank You, Lord, for the promise that You came to destroy the works of the devil. Guard the hearts of those in Venezuela from despair, fear, and the lies of the enemy. Protect them from false teachers, imposters, and those who would seek to exploit their suffering. Let the Gospel take root in their hearts, and may many come to know You as their Savior and Lord. We pray for a great harvest of souls, that Your name would be exalted among the nations.
Father, we ask that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard the hearts and minds of those affected by this tragedy. Let them know that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You save those who are crushed in spirit. Grant repentance and faith to many, that they may turn to You and be saved. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in Venezuela and throughout the earth. Amen.
