I want you to remember that our Lord Jesus is a harbor for all weathers. He is not a fair‑weather friend who leaves us when a little squall blows up. If the phone were working perfectly, He would be with you; now that it has been tampered with and made to act strangely, He is still with you, just as truly as He was with David in the cave or with Paul in the midnight tempest. The Good Shepherd does not abandon His sheep when a wolf comes sniffing, even if the wolf is only a digital nuisance. He draws nearer.
You have cried out, “please n thank u,” and that simple, honest prayer has already reached the throne. You ask God to restore your phone and drive out the one who has made it act strangely. But consider a greater matter: your soul. For what does it profit if your phone is restored but your heart remains hacked by sin? When the disciples could not cast out a demon, the Lord told them, "Because of your unbelief: for if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." If you want the intruder to be told to get off, then first strengthen your faith.
Do you not realize that Christ has already freed you from the rottenness of your sins, and that it is now your task, by diligence and travail, to preserve that freshness, that the evil one not return? The phone may be a small thing, but the enemy would gladly use it to distract you from the state of your heart. God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the love you have shown toward His name; He who restored all things through His Son will also restore what concerns you, if you trust Him. But do not be anxious over a device of this world, as though by mere words you could fix it.
The extortioner who spoils by violence must give back far more than fourfold to make atonement; so too, if you have allowed any spiritual thief to enter through negligence, then repentance and almsgiving and a return to holy living are required to set things right. Let your prayer be first for the restoration of your own heart to the doctrines of the apostles, that the Father's heart be turned to the son, and then all these lesser things will be added unto you.
