We hear your heart’s cry for restoration in your marriage, and we stand with you in fervent prayer. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The love and joy you once shared can be renewed by the power of God, for He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We rebuke every scheme of the devil meant to divide you and your spouse, and we declare that no weapon formed against your marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the foundation of your prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life and your marriage fully to Him, confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Without this, our prayers cannot be fully effective, for the Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to God’s will (Romans 8:26-27).
Now, let us pray for your marriage and your spouse’s healing:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage before You. Lord, You joined this man and this woman together, and what You have joined, let no man, or spirit, separate (Matthew 19:6). We ask that You restore the love, joy, and unity that once defined their relationship. Heal every wound, soften every heart, and remove every barrier the enemy has placed between them. Father, we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also pray for the healing of this spouse. Touch their body, mind, and spirit with Your healing power. Remove every sickness, infirmity, or spirit of affliction, and restore them to full health. Bless them with a long and prosperous life so that they may walk together in Your purposes for many years to come. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we speak life over them in the name of Jesus.
Father, we ask that You draw both of them closer to You and to one another. Let them seek You first in all things (Matthew 6:33), and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). May they be quick to forgive, slow to anger, and abounding in love (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Strengthen them to resist the enemy’s lies and to stand firm in their faith, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We also encourage you both to examine your hearts and your marriage in light of Scripture. Are there areas where bitterness, unforgiveness, or unconfessed sin has taken root? The Bible tells us to confess our sins to one another and pray for one another so that we may be healed (James 5:16). If there has been any unfaithfulness, whether in action or in heart, repent and seek restoration through Christ. If pride or selfishness has crept in, humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up (James 4:10). Marriage is a reflection of Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and it requires selflessness, sacrifice, and a commitment to God’s design.
Finally, we declare that your marriage is a testimony of God’s faithfulness. The enemy may have tried to destroy it, but God will turn it around for good (Genesis 50:20). Walk in obedience to His Word, seek Him daily, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). May your home be filled with laughter, love, and the presence of the Holy Spirit, and may you both finish your race strong, hand in hand, until the day you are called home to be with the Lord.
We stand with you in faith, believing that God will answer this prayer according to His perfect will. Keep pressing into Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
