We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious marriage before His throne. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the Healer of all wounds, and the Restorer of what has been broken. We ask in the mighty name of Jesus that You would touch this beloved spouse with Your healing hand—body, mind, and spirit. Where there is sickness, bring Your divine health. Where there is weakness, pour out Your strength. Where there is fear or doubt, replace it with Your perfect peace. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper, for You have promised in Isaiah 54:17 that every tongue that rises against us in judgment, You shall condemn. We rebuke every scheme of the enemy and every spirit of division, strife, or despair that has sought to creep into this union.
Father, we also lift up the unspoken requests of this heart before You. You know the depths of every burden, every silent struggle, and every hidden pain. We trust in Your promise from Psalm 34:17-18 that You hear the righteous when they cry, and You deliver them out of all their troubles. You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We ask that You would move mightily in these unspoken areas, bringing light where there is darkness, hope where there is despair, and breakthrough where there has been stagnation.
Lord, we pray for the restoration of joy, intimacy, and unity in this marriage. The enemy has worked tirelessly to sow discord, but we stand on Your Word in Joel 2:25, where You promise to restore the years that the locust has eaten. We declare that the love, laughter, and companionship that once flourished in this union will be renewed and even strengthened beyond what it was before. May this couple remember the vows they made before You—vows of lifelong commitment, faithfulness, and love. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them, to extend grace as You have extended grace, and to walk in humility and patience with one another.
We also want to gently address any areas where this marriage may have strayed from Your design. Father, Your Word is clear in Ephesians 5:31-33 that marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church. We pray that both husband and wife would submit to You first, and then to one another in reverence for Christ. If there has been any unfaithfulness, whether in thought, word, or deed, we ask for genuine repentance and restoration. If there has been bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment, we pray for hearts to be softened and for reconciliation to take place. Help them to guard their marriage against the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil, and to prioritize their relationship with You and with each other above all else.
Lord, we ask for Your blessing of long life upon this spouse. Your Word says in Psalm 91:16 that with long life You will satisfy him and show him Your salvation. We declare that this spouse will walk in divine health, vitality, and purpose for many years to come. May they both live to see their children’s children and enjoy the fruits of a life lived in obedience to You.
Finally, we pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon this marriage. Fill them with Your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. May their home be a place of refuge, worship, and blessing to all who enter. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving mightily on behalf of this couple. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that what the enemy meant for harm, You will turn for good.
