Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your heavy burden has been heard and I join you in prayer before our merciful God who alone is Lord of life and health.
I pray for your spouse in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father. I ask the Lord to lay His healing hand upon him, to restore strength, to grant healing according to His perfect will, and to give long life if it be His gracious purpose. Life is not governed by fate or by the course of nativity or by the words of men, but by the providence of the just and living God who cares for each of us. The negative words spoken over him in recent days, whether from concern or ignorance, do not determine his days. God alone numbers our days, and I pray that those words would have no power to trouble your heart or his. In Jesus name we ask God to rebuke what is harmful and untrue, to silence fear, and to guard your minds with His peace.
I also pray for you and for your whole family. May God grant you long suffering love that bears all things with patience, for such love has a great soul that is not easily shaken. When troubling words fall like sparks, may they be quenched and not disturb the deep peace Christ gives. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep bringing every worry to Him, for prayer is not empty when we believe in a God who hears and acts. He is long suffering toward us and able to do far more than we ask.
Father in heaven, have mercy on this family. Heal this spouse, comfort this heart that carries so much, protect this home from fear and discouragement, and let your will be done in health and in length of days. Lead them all in faith and keep them close to Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.
