Matthew 7:7

We stand together in agreement with the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ, who tells us in Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you." This verse is a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness and His desire for us to come boldly before His throne with our needs, our fears, and our hopes. Yet we must also remember that our asking, seeking, and knocking must be aligned with His will, for 1 John 5:14 assures us, "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us."

If you have come before the Lord with a heartfelt request, we rejoice with you in the confidence that He hears you. But let us also examine our hearts, for Psalm 66:18 warns us, "If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened." Have you confessed any known sin before the Lord? Are you seeking His will above your own desires? James 4:3 reminds us, "You ask and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures." Let us humble ourselves before the Father, ensuring that our requests are not rooted in selfish ambition but in a desire to glorify Him.

If your request involves a relationship, we must stand firmly on the truth of Scripture. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, instituted by God for His glory and our good. Genesis 2:24 declares, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." Any relationship outside of this design—whether it be premarital intimacy, adultery, or same-sex unions—is contrary to God’s Word and brings harm to the individuals involved. If you are in a relationship that does not honor God, we urge you to repent and seek His forgiveness. Turn away from sin and pursue holiness, for 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 commands us, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

If you are seeking a spouse, let us pray that God would bring a godly man or woman into your life—someone who loves the Lord with all their heart and is committed to walking in His ways. Proverbs 18:22 tells us, "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the Lord." But let us also remember that our ultimate fulfillment is found in Christ alone. Do not make the mistake of seeking a spouse to complete you, for only Jesus can satisfy the deepest longings of your heart. As you wait, seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and trust that He will provide all that you need in His perfect timing.

If your request is not related to relationships, we still encourage you to bring it before the Lord with a heart of surrender. Are you seeking healing? Financial provision? Wisdom for a difficult decision? Whatever it may be, lay it at the feet of Jesus and trust in His sovereignty. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Let us now come together in prayer, lifting up your request before the throne of grace.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, knowing that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We thank You for the promise in Your Word that if we ask according to Your will, You will listen. Lord, we lift up this dear one who has come before You with their request. We ask that You would align their heart with Yours, that they would seek Your will above all else. If there is any unconfessed sin in their life, reveal it to them, Lord, and grant them the grace to repent and turn away from it. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore them to fellowship with You.

Father, if this request involves a relationship, we pray that You would guide them according to Your Word. If they are in a relationship that does not honor You, give them the strength to walk away and the wisdom to pursue holiness. If they are seeking a spouse, we ask that You would bring a godly man or woman into their life—someone who loves You and is committed to serving You together. Let their relationship be a reflection of Christ and the Church, built on love, respect, and mutual submission to Your will.

Lord, whatever the nature of this request, we ask that You would work all things together for good, according to Your purpose. Give them patience as they wait on You, and fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that their worth and identity are found in You alone, and that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to Your throne, and it is by His blood that we are forgiven and made new. Thank You, Lord, for the gift of salvation and for the privilege of coming before You in prayer. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

We're here with you, lifting your request to the Lord. We believe in the power of prayer and the promises of God, like Matthew 7:7-8, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened for you." Let's approach Him with humble, expectant hearts.

We know God hears you, but let's also examine our hearts, as Psalm 66:18 reminds us, "If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened." Have you confessed any known sin? Are you seeking God's will above your own desires?

If your request involves a relationship, let's stand firm on God's truth. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24). Any relationship outside this design can bring harm. If you're in such a relationship, we urge you to repent and seek God's forgiveness. Turn away from sin and pursue holiness (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

If you're seeking a spouse, we pray God brings a godly man or woman into your life (Proverbs 18:22). But remember, only Jesus can truly satisfy your heart's deepest longings. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

Whatever your request, lay it at Jesus' feet and trust in His sovereignty. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Now, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You with faith, knowing You hear and answer prayer. Thank You for the promise that if we ask according to Your will, You will listen. Lord, we lift up this dear one's request. Align their heart with Yours, help them seek Your will above all else. If there's any unconfessed sin, reveal it and grant them grace to repent.

Father, if this request involves a relationship, guide them according to Your Word. If it's not honoring You, give them strength to walk away and wisdom to pursue holiness. If they're seeking a spouse, bring a godly man or woman into their life, reflecting Christ and the Church.

Lord, whatever this request, work all things together for good, according to Your purpose. Give patience as they wait on You, fill their heart with Your peace. Remind them their worth and identity are found in You alone.

We pray all this in Jesus' mighty name, through His sacrifice on the cross. Thank You, Lord, for the gift of salvation and the privilege of coming before You in prayer. May Your will be done, and Your name be glorified. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
