Matthew 19:26

We are so encouraged that you shared Matthew 19:26 on your heart, for it is a powerful reminder of the limitless power and grace of our God. We cling to this truth together with you.

When Jesus spoke these words, He had just been speaking with the rich young man who went away sorrowful, and the disciples asked, Who then can be saved. Jesus, looking at them, said, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26. This was not about earthly success or getting everything we want, but about salvation itself, which no man can earn or achieve on his own. What is impossible for us to do in our own strength, to be forgiven, to be made new, to be reconciled to a holy God, God has made possible through Christ.

We are reminded also that nothing is too hard for the Lord. Jeremiah 32:17 says, Ah Lord Yahweh, behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you. And Luke 1:37 declares, For nothing spoken by God is impossible. Whatever impossible mountain you are facing today, whether it is a health struggle, a financial burden, a broken relationship, or a sin that feels too heavy to overcome, we know that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Ephesians 3:20.

We want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to this almighty God and His possible. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is because of Jesus Christ, His death on the cross and His resurrection, that the impossible work of our salvation was made possible, and that we can now come boldly before God in prayer.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that You are the God for whom nothing is impossible. We thank You for making a way for us to be saved when we could not save ourselves. Lord, we lift up the one who shared this verse to You. You know the impossible situation on their heart that caused them to cling to this promise. We ask that You would show Your power in their life according to Your perfect will and for Your glory. Strengthen their faith, give them peace that passes understanding, and help them to trust not in their own strength but in Yours. Help them to walk in obedience to You and to seek Your will above all else, knowing that Your plans are good. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our salvation. Amen.

We encourage you to keep abiding in Him, to continue in prayer and in His Word, and to trust that God will work all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.

Thank you for sharing this verse with us. We hear you holding onto the truth that what feels impossible to you is not impossible to God, and we want to stand with you in that place.

When a situation has felt impossible for a long time, hope can wear thin. We have found that hope is not pretending everything is fine, it is quietly choosing to believe God is still present and still faithful while we are still hurting. Resilient faith does not deny pain or loss, it just keeps bringing that pain honestly to the God who sees it and can be trusted with tomorrow.

Whatever the impossible is that prompted you to write, you do not have to carry it alone. If it would help, we encourage you to name that one most heavy burden plainly before the Lord each day this week in a simple, honest prayer, and consider letting one trusted pastor or friend know what you are carrying so they can pray with you personally and walk beside you.

We are praying for you now.

Father, thank You for seeing the impossible our friend is facing and for loving them through it. Give them Your peace and steady hope today, remind them they are not alone, and give them wisdom for each next step. Draw them close to You and help them to trust Your good purposes as You walk with them. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible, and in that word there is both a solemn humbling and a blessed lifting up of the soul. There is no hope for you in yourself, but there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as you. Consider well the first part of the text, for with man salvation is impossible. You cannot by your own strength break the power of sin, nor by your own tears wash out its stain, nor by your own resolve keep the law which you have broken. If you look within, you are wearied in the length of your way and you must confess, there is no hope.

Yet the text does not leave you there. With God all things are possible. What man cannot do, love has done. You were hampered with the idea that it was of no use to hope for mercy, and doubt hung like a shroud upon you, yet at the appointed time the great sea of His love advanced and covered all your mud and mire. He loved you into faith. When you could not drag your soul to Him, He came to you at the foot of the Cross and there gave you to hope and to trust in His dear Son.

It may be that your faith feels very little this day. Despise it not, for little faith is true faith if it begins and ends with Jesus. The least faith in Jesus is the gift of God and is like precious faith, though it be not like strong faith. If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you can do wonders, for it links you to Him who can do all things. He looks upon that trembling trust as a jeweler looks upon a precious stone, and He delights in it.

Therefore though a wall seems to stand in front of you and to shut out all hope of life, still pray. Though your case seems fatal and your fears tell you that prayer cannot avail, turn your face to the wall and pray your way through it. Without faith it is impossible to please God, but with faith, even though it be small, you are joined to Christ, and being joined to Him you have repentance also, for faith and repentance are twins born together. That faith which saves the soul is a sanctifying faith which says, Lord, thou hast forgiven me, and now I will sin no more.

May the Lord turn this possible hope into an actual hope in your soul, by bringing you to believe in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Trust Him only, follow Him wholly, and walk in that holy way which He has appointed, for there alone is life and peace. May He increase your faith, and keep you rooted and grounded, not moved away from the hope of the gospel, till you see with joy how the adversary is subdued beneath the feet of your faith.

Thank you for sharing this precious word from Matthew 19:26. Jesus spoke this to show that what is impossible with man is possible with God, and He wants this truth to build real faith in us.

Even the smallest degree of genuine faith, like a mustard seed which seems so small yet is strong in power, can do great things when it rests on God. Jesus said that with such faith nothing that is according to His will shall be impossible, even to move mountains. We see how God has already made the impossible possible, as when He made a way through the Red Sea, and far more when He reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ while we were still enemies, washing us and giving us new life. If He has done what was impossible to save us, we can trust Him to do what is difficult as we walk with Him now.

At the same time, the power of God is not given for display or to grant every desire, but to transform us and lead us in virtue and obedience. Miracles bear true fruit when we come with an honest heart that seeks Him and wants to follow His ways.

So I encourage you to bring your whole need to the Lord in prayer, asking for His mighty help and also for grace to accept and follow His perfect will. Pray that He will strengthen your faith, keep your heart close to Christ who alone is our salvation, and shape your life more and more into what pleases Him.

We are praying with you that the Lord will increase your faith, show His power in your life in the way that most brings Him glory and brings you lasting good, and give you peace as you trust His wisdom and love.
