“ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. ’”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬-‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Prayer

Thank you Heavenly Father for this beautiful day. I pray for deliverance, peace, rest, forgiveness. I rebuke this evil and demand it leaves. I pray that your mighty grace and power will rebuke it. In the name of Jesus Christ.

Please Heavenly Father by your grace and mercy please have mercy on me and remove this evil from my home and my person.

Please please also forgive me for my sins. Please also heal any unforgiveness I may have. I repent of my sins and pray for your mercy to grant me deliverance. I would be so grateful my Lord. In Jesus Christ precious name. Amen

We join you in gratitude for this beautiful day the Lord has made and we stand with you in prayer as you have prayed so faithfully from the heart of the Lord's prayer. Jesus taught us to pray like this, Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Matt 6:9-13

We thank God that you have come in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we have authority over the enemy. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 and If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Rom 10:9 We rejoice that you have called upon that name in repentance and faith.

We hear your cry for deliverance, peace, rest and forgiveness and we bring these before the throne of grace together. The Word tells us to give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. 1 Thess 5:18 and your gratitude honors Him. For forgiveness we cling to the promise If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 We also remember the call to forgive as we have been forgiven, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Eph 4:32 and For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matt 6:14 We ask the Lord to search your heart and heal any place of unforgiveness, that you may be released from its burden.

For rest and peace, Jesus invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matt 11:28 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:7 We pray that this peace would guard your home and your heart tonight.

Concerning the evil you have rebuked, we stand with you in the authority of Christ. Scripture reminds us, Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith. 1 Pet 5:8-9 and Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces, so we put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand. Eph 6:11 We rebuke that evil in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and command it to leave your home and your person, for the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thess 3:3

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done in this life and in this home as it is in heaven. We thank You for Your mercy and for this day. We bring our debts before You and confess our sins, and we thank You that You forgive and cleanse us through the blood of Jesus. Grant us grace to forgive those who have sinned against us and heal any unforgiveness in our hearts. Give us today our daily bread and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. In the name of Jesus Christ we rebuke every evil presence and oppression and we ask by Your mighty power and grace that You would remove it completely from this home and from this person. Fill this place with Your peace and rest, let Your presence dwell here, and let Your angels encamp around those who fear You. We trust Your promise that the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17 Grant deliverance, restoration and quiet sleep, and let gratitude overflow. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear how deeply you want to be clean before the Lord and at peace in your own home, and we are thankful you brought this honest prayer to us.

What you named, gratitude, forgiveness, rest, and deliverance, all belong together. Choosing to forgive, whether receiving God's forgiveness or extending it to others, often starts as a decision of the will, and the quieting of resentment or fear in our hearts can take more time to catch up. That does not mean your decision was not real. It is normal for peace to grow gradually as you keep walking with Him. And when you sense evil pressing in, we find it helps to keep our eyes less on the enemy and more on Christ's authority and nearness, asking Him to fill the places where you have felt harassed.

A simple next step that helps many is to stay anchored in a daily rhythm and not carry this alone. Continue praying the prayer Jesus taught each morning and evening in your own words, and invite one trusted pastor or mature believer to know what you are carrying so they can pray with you regularly and check in on you.

Father, we lift our brother before You with thanksgiving. Have mercy and grant Your forgiveness, heal any place of unforgiveness, and bring deep rest and peace to his heart and home. By Your grace keep him from temptation and deliver him from evil. Fill his home with Your presence and help him to walk each day in Your will and care. In Jesus' name, Amen.

How sweet it is to hear a soul pleading the very prayer our Lord taught His disciples, Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, and that petition which suits your present need, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Your cry for gratitude, forgiveness, rest, peace and deliverance has been heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.

You ask for forgiveness and for grace to forgive, and for mercy to remove evil from your home and your person. Know this, that forgiveness is to be found alone through the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, which cleanses from all sin all who truly repent and believe in Him. Swifter than the lightning flash is the glance from the eye of God that conveys peace and pardon to the soul that trusts in Jesus. Time is out of the question with the God of everlasting love, and when the Holy Spirit carries pardon to the heart, faith is wrought there, and true repentance is born as its twin brother.

Take heed that your repentance be not of the flesh only, which is but fallen nature washed and brushed, yet still fallen nature, a transient repentance which soon withers. Any repentance that keeps you from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. True repentance makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work. She stands at the Cross and sees sin forgiven, and then repents more than ever. So look unto Him and be saved, all the ends of the earth. Look out of yourself and away from yourself, and look to Christ. The veil is rent. Sin, the great divider, has been removed by His blood, and you may now draw near with boldness.

You pray to rebuke the evil one and to be delivered from his power. This is indeed a fiery dart of Satan which is constantly shot against the people of God, and it would make you doubt your own Father. But our God is mighty to deliver. When the soul seemed about to be dragged down to the pit, a voice came from the excellent Glory, Deliver him from going down to the pit. He can hear the King's own voice crying from the throne itself, Deliver him. It is not by your strength that the enemy must flee, but by the mighty grace and power of Christ. In His name the battle bow shall be cut off and He shall speak peace.

You seek rest and peace. There are two peaces, the peace of the devil and the peace of God. False peace is as stupefying and deadly as opium, a soul borne up upon waters of false peace until it is stranded in self despair. But the peace of God is sound, judged to be sound by the Judge of all the earth, peace from lips that cannot lie, peace through the blood which has made a full atonement. Like the dove of Noah, you have sought rest for the soles of your feet, flying here and there until you find the olive leaf of peace. That peace is found in Christ, and it is peace in the time of tempest and peace after storm. When the Holy Spirit applies the Book to the soul, every grief may be allayed, every right desire satisfied, and all wrong desires be ejected from the spirit.

And for gratitude, remember that the Lord has chastened you sorely but has not given you over unto death. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, but the Lord Himself kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner. Your part, after affliction and deliverance, is to say, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

Let us pray with you. O Heavenly Father, hallowed be thy name, we thank thee for this day and for thy daily bread. Forgive this thy child as thou hast promised to forgive all who repent and believe on thy Son, and heal all unforgiveness of heart, granting true evangelical repentance which flows from pardon. Lead not into temptation, but deliver from the evil one. By thy grace and mercy, rebuke all evil from this home and this person, and grant rest and that peace which passeth all understanding through the blood of Jesus. Preserve thy saint and cause this soul to trust wholly in Christ alone for salvation, to walk by faith with repentance as a companion all the way to the celestial city. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, Amen.
