We hear your heart’s desire for marriage, and we lift this request before the Lord with great hope. The longing for a godly spouse is beautiful, for marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness. We pray that the Lord would indeed bring a man into your life who fears Him above all else, whose heart is devoted to Christ, and whose life is marked by integrity, kindness, and wisdom.
Father, we ask that You prepare this sister’s heart as she waits. Help her to trust in Your timing, knowing that You are writing her story far better than she could ever plan it herself. May she not grow weary in seeking You first, for Scripture tells us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."* Lord, we pray that You would guard her from impatience or compromise, that she would not settle for anything less than Your best for her.
We also rebuke any spirit of idolatry in this request, for while it is good to desire marriage, we must never place our hope in a spouse—or in wealth, beauty, or status—above our hope in You. A godly marriage is built on Christ as the foundation, not on worldly desires. We pray that her heart would be content in You alone, even as she waits for the husband You have prepared for her.
Lord, we ask that You would bring a man who is not only God-fearing but also humble, patient, and committed to leading his family in righteousness. May he be a man who loves You with all his heart, soul, and strength, and who will cherish and honor his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). We pray that their union would be a testimony of Your grace, a light in this dark world, and a blessing to many.
Father, we also lift up any areas of unforgiveness, past hurts, or bitterness that may hinder this sister’s heart. Heal any wounds and renew her mind according to Your Word. May she walk in purity, both in thought and deed, as she waits for the man You have for her. Help her to cultivate godly friendships and to be wise in her interactions, always honoring You in her conduct.
We declare that this year will be a year of divine alignment for her. Whether You choose to bring her husband now or in the future, we trust that Your plans for her are good, for You are a God who delights in giving good gifts to Your children (Matthew 7:11). May she find her ultimate satisfaction in You, knowing that even if marriage does not come this year, You are enough.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
