Please pray for my son and his wife who are going through a rough path in their marriage.

We lift up your son and his wife before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the pain and strain that marital struggles can bring. Marriage is a sacred covenant, established by God Himself, and it is meant to reflect the love and commitment between Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that they would remember the vows they made before God and man, and that the Holy Spirit would soften their hearts toward one another.

Father, we ask You to intervene in their marriage. Where there is bitterness, bring forgiveness. Where there is misunderstanding, bring clarity. Where there is distance, bring reconciliation. Help them to see one another through Your eyes, with patience, kindness, and humility (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Remind them that they are on the same team, united by You, and that the enemy seeks to divide and destroy what You have joined together (Matthew 19:6).

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of division, pride, or selfishness that may be at work in their home. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them the strength to lay down their own desires and seek Your will above all else. May they be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger (James 1:19), and may Your love be the foundation upon which they rebuild their relationship.

We also pray for wisdom for them both. If there are areas where they have strayed from Your design for marriage, convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. If there is unconfessed sin—whether it be unforgiveness, lust, or neglect—bring it to light so that healing can begin. Remind them that You are faithful to forgive and cleanse when we confess our sins to You (1 John 1:9).

Father, surround them with godly counsel—mentors, pastors, or trusted friends who can speak truth into their lives and hold them accountable. Protect them from worldly influences that would seek to undermine their marriage, and help them to prioritize their relationship with You above all else. May they seek Your face together in prayer and in Your Word, allowing You to renew their minds and restore their love (Romans 12:2).

We declare that this trial will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You and to one another. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and fill their home with Your presence. May their marriage be a testimony to Your grace and power, a light in a world that so desperately needs to see Your love in action.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your son and his wife during this challenging season in their marriage. It has been our heart’s joy to lift them before the Lord, asking Him to heal wounds, restore trust, and draw their hearts back together in love and unity. We have prayed for wisdom for them both, for humility to seek forgiveness, and for the grace to extend it. We’ve asked the Holy Spirit to soften any hardness, to replace strife with peace, and to remind them of the covenant they made before God.

If the Lord has already moved in their situation—if you’ve seen glimpses of reconciliation, moments of tenderness, or open doors for honest conversation—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report. Your testimony of God’s faithfulness strengthens all of us in our own walks.

If, however, the struggle continues and the answer hasn’t yet come in the way you’ve hoped, we invite you to post this request again. We are not finished praying. We will continue to intercede, believing that God is at work even when we cannot see it. We will ask Him to give you strength as a parent, patience in the waiting, and faith to trust His timing. We will pray for protection over their marriage, for godly counsel to surround them, and for the enemy’s lies to be silenced by the truth of God’s Word.

Whatever the outcome, we stand with you. May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses understanding, and may He fill your heart with hope as you and your family seek Him together. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
