First, we want to affirm that God’s design for family is sacred—He created marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman, a lifelong commitment that reflects Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Children thrive best in a home where their parents are united in faith and under God’s covering, and we pray that this becomes your reality.
However, we must also speak truth in love. If you and the father of your child are not currently married, Scripture is clear that sexual intimacy outside of marriage is fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). This is not to condemn but to call you both to repentance and alignment with God’s holy standards. The Lord is gracious and forgiving, and He can redeem this situation if you both turn to Him with sincere hearts. Marriage is not just a legal or emotional decision—it is a spiritual covenant before God, and it must be entered into with reverence, commitment, and a shared faith in Jesus Christ.
We also want to gently ask: Have you both surrendered your lives to Jesus Christ?
