We lift up this broken marriage before the Lord, knowing that what God has joined together, no man should separate. The enemy seeks to destroy marriages, but we stand firm on the truth of Scripture, declaring that the Lord is able to restore what has been torn apart. The Word of God tells us in Malachi 2:16, *"For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!"* and in Matthew 19:6, *"So they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart."*

First, we must address the grave sin of abandonment. A husband who abandons his wife is walking in disobedience to God’s design for marriage. Ephesians 5:25 commands, *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."* Abandonment is not love—it is rebellion against God’s covenant. We rebuke this spirit of hardness of heart and pray that conviction would fall upon this man. May the Holy Spirit pierce his conscience with the weight of his sin, leading him to repentance. Proverbs 28:13 declares, *"He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."*

We also pray for the wife in this situation, that the Lord would be her strength and comfort. Psalm 34:18 assures us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* May she cling to the Lord, trusting in His faithfulness even when her earthly husband has failed her. We pray she would not grow bitter but would forgive as Christ has forgiven her, while also setting godly boundaries. The Lord sees her tears, and He will vindicate her in His timing.

For the restoration of this marriage, we plead the blood of Jesus over every area of brokenness. We ask the Lord to soften this man’s heart and turn him back to his wife, his covenant, and his God. Joel 2:25-26 promises, *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten... and you will praise the name of Yahweh, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you."* We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the Lord will rebuild what has been destroyed.

Finally, we urge both parties to seek the Lord earnestly. If there has been unfaithfulness, unforgiveness, or any other sin, it must be repented of and renounced. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and reconciliation requires humility, repentance, and a willingness to submit to God’s will. We pray that both would turn to Christ, who is the ultimate Restorer.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for this marriage. You are the God who heals, restores, and redeems. We ask that You would break every chain of pride, rebellion, and hardness of heart. Draw this man back to his wife and to You. Give her supernatural strength and grace to endure this trial with faith. Lord, let Your will be done—let this marriage be restored for Your glory. We bind every scheme of the enemy and declare that Your love and truth will prevail. May both husband and wife seek You above all else, and may their marriage become a testimony of Your restoring power. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
