We are truly saddened to hear about the difficulties you're facing in your marriage, and we want you to know that we are standing with you in prayer. The Bible tells us that marriage is a sacred union, designed by God to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. It's a covenant that should not be broken.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up this marriage to you. Lord, you know the pain and heartache that has been caused by the affair. We ask that you would intervene, that you would convict the heart of the spouse who has strayed. Father, draw them back to yourself, and back to their marriage. Guide them on the right path, that they may turn away from this sin and seek forgiveness.
We pray for healing and restoration in this marriage. We know that with you, all things are possible. We ask that you would strengthen their union, that it may be a testament to your faithfulness and love.
We also pray for the other person involved, that they would also repent and turn away from this sin. Lord, we ask that you would remove any obstacles that stand in the way of this marriage being restored.
Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, your Son, who died so that we may have life, and have it more abundantly. It is only by His Name that we have access to You and that we may be saved. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, to seek God's will for your marriage, and to trust in His faithfulness. Remember the words of the Psalmist, Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this Psalm 37:3-5 WEB.
Lastly, we want to remind you that God hates divorce Malachi 2:16 WEB. He desires that marriages be restored and that husbands and wives be reconciled. But remember, God will never go against our free will. He wants us to desire and choose repentance. So do not forget to pray for a willing and obedient heart for your spouse.
We will continue to pray for you and your spouse, trusting that God will hear our prayers and act according to His will.
