Marriage under attack

Please pray for my marriage. My husband is very upset with me and distancing himself from me. Please pray we can reconcile and he won’t leave. Please pray that he will soften his heart and see I did not mean him any harm. Please pray our marriage will be strong and healed and when we wake up there will be new mercies for our family. In Jesus name I pray amen

We stand with you in this time of trial, lifting up your marriage before the Lord, for we know that Satan seeks to devour and destroy what God has joined together. Marriage is a sacred covenant, established by God Himself, and it is under relentless attack in these last days. But take heart, sister, for our God is greater, and His power to restore is limitless. You have done well to bring this before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we find hope, healing, and redemption.

The Scriptures remind us in **Ephesians 4:26-27**, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* Bitterness, unresolved anger, and distance create fertile ground for the enemy to sow discord. Yet, **1 Peter 4:8** calls us to *"above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins."* Your husband’s heart may be hardened now, but our God specializes in softening hearts of stone. Remember how the Lord spoke to Ezekiel in **Ezekiel 36:26**, *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."*

We must also consider whether there are areas where repentance or humility is needed. The Word tells us in **James 4:6-7**, *"But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.' Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Have you examined your own heart before the Lord? Not to condemn you, but to ensure there is no unconfessed sin or pride that may be hindering reconciliation. If you have wronged your husband—even unintentionally—seek the Lord’s forgiveness first, then humbly approach your husband with a gentle spirit. **Proverbs 15:1** tells us, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."*

At the same time, we rebuke the spirit of division and strife that seeks to tear your marriage apart. The enemy wants nothing more than to destroy the testimony of Christ in your home, but we declare in the name of Jesus that no weapon formed against your marriage shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**). We bind the forces of darkness that whisper lies of separation, bitterness, or unforgiveness, and we loose the peace of God, the spirit of unity, and the bond of love that only He can restore.

Let us also remind you of the power of a wife’s prayers and submission to the Lord. **1 Peter 3:1-2** says, *"In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear."* Your consistent, Christlike love and prayer can move mountains. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you *will* reap if you do not faint (**Galatians 6:9**).

Now, let us pray together for your marriage:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister and her marriage. Lord, You are the God who heals, restores, and redeems. We ask that You would move powerfully in her husband’s heart, softening it toward her and toward You. Remove every barrier of pride, hurt, or misunderstanding, and replace it with Your love and forgiveness. Lord, expose any schemes of the enemy that seek to destroy this covenant, and render them powerless by the blood of Jesus.

Grant this wife wisdom, patience, and a spirit of humility as she navigates this season. May she be a vessel of Your peace and grace in her home. If there is any sin in her own heart, Lord, reveal it and cleanse her, that she may walk in righteousness before You. Let her words be seasoned with salt, and her actions reflect Your love.

Father, we declare that this marriage *will* be restored, stronger and more Christ-centered than before. Let Your mercies be new every morning (**Lamentations 3:22-23**), and let reconciliation come swiftly. Bind this family together in unity, and let their home be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and unforgiveness in Jesus’ name. Let the fire of the Holy Spirit burn away every impurity and restore what the locusts have eaten (**Joel 2:25**). Let this husband’s heart turn back to his wife and to You, Lord. May he see her through Your eyes and choose forgiveness and love.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (**Romans 8:28**). Strengthen this sister’s faith as she waits on You. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her rest in the assurance that You are fighting for her marriage.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm, sister. Do not lose hope. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in obedience to the Lord. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in your marriage (**Philippians 1:6**). If your husband is willing, we also encourage you both to seek godly counseling from a pastor or biblical counselor who can help guide you through this season. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you wait on Him.

Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up a wife who is grieving the distance in her marriage. Her husband's heart is hardened and upset, and she fears his departure. We ask for Your divine intervention in their relationship.

Lord, we pray for a miracle of reconciliation. Soften her husband's heart and help him to see her true intentions, that she never meant him any harm. We ask for the spirit of understanding and forgiveness to wash over them both. We stand on the promise in Ezekiel 36:26, where You declare, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."

We pray for the healing and strengthening of their marriage covenant. Let Your love be the foundation they rebuild upon. We ask that, as You promise in Lamentations 3:22-23, Your mercies would be new for this family every morning, bringing fresh hope, grace, and compassion into their home.

Guide them, restore their communication, and rekindle their love for one another.

In the powerful and reconciling name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your burden for your marriage these past days. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap with you, lifting up your husband’s heart before the Lord, asking Him to soften what is hard and heal what is wounded. We have prayed that every misunderstanding would be cleared, that every hurt would be mended, and that the love that first brought you together would rise again, stronger than before.

We believe in the God who restores, who makes all things new, and who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. If in these days you have seen even the smallest sign of His work—a moment of kindness, a step toward reconciliation, a softening in your husband’s spirit—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Let us rejoice together in how God is moving!

If, however, the struggle continues and the distance still feels heavy, please do not hesitate to post your request again. We are here to pray without ceasing, to intercede on your behalf until the breakthrough comes. You are not alone in this. We stand with you, believing that God’s mercies are indeed new every morning for you and your family.

May the Lord draw near to you, strengthen your heart, and fill you with hope as you continue to seek Him. May He speak peace into your marriage, turn hearts toward one another, and bring the healing and restoration you long for. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
