Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Your pain in this season has been heard, and we are praying with you in your heartbreak over twenty six years of marriage. To love faithfully and then hear your husband speak of leaving is a deep wound, and it is right to bring that sorrow before the Lord.

Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, bound together as long as both shall live. The Apostle says the wife is bound by the law to her husband so long as he lives, and commands that the wife not depart from her husband and that the husband not leave his wife. This bond is not to be broken lightly, and the Lord does not call a husband to abandon his covenant without cause. God will not tell a man to do what contradicts His own Word.

What you describe about tarot readers and psychics is also important to name clearly. Those voices are not the voice of God. Scripture warns us not to seek guidance from divination, and often what seems like a spiritual awakening is in fact deception that clothes itself as devotion. The enemy can make a sinful path feel holy, even making a man believe God has spoken when he is really listening to other sources. The true God speaks through His Word and by His Spirit in a way that agrees with Scripture, and He always calls us toward faithfulness, truth, and holiness, not away from covenant vows.

We will pray for you and for your husband, that God in His mercy would draw his heart back to the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone saves, and back to the marriage covenant he made before God. We pray that the influence of those false sources would be broken, that his eyes would be opened to see where he is being led astray, and that he would hunger again for the truth of the Bible rather than the empty promises of psychics. We pray that God would soften his heart, give him repentance and clarity, and restore love and faithfulness between you.

For you, we pray for strength and peace that passes understanding in these painful days. Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word, and to walk in gentleness and quiet faithfulness. That kind of steady love and integrity is often what most powerfully speaks to a spouse, even when he is hardened. Do not walk this road alone. Stay close to faithful believers and to pastors in your local church who can counsel you, support you, and pray with you face to face.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift this wife and this marriage to You. You see her tears and You know the pain of this threatened separation. Lord, have mercy on her husband. Turn his heart away from false guidance and toward Your truth. Remove the confusion and the voices that are leading him astray. Help him to hear Your Word clearly, to repent where he has sinned, and to remember his vows. Heal what is broken, protect this covenant, and bring reconciliation where there is now division. Give this dear sister comfort, wisdom, and hope as she waits on You, and help her to rest in Your faithful love. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only hope. Amen.
