We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your marriage and your need for employment. First, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His grace and mercy that we can approach the throne of God with our petitions. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that you both have a personal relationship with Jesus, for He is the foundation upon which all things are built.

Father God, we lift up this marriage before You, asking for Your divine intervention and healing. We pray that You would guide this husband and wife in their situation, drawing them closer to You and to each other. Lord, we ask that You would soften their hearts toward one another, helping them to communicate with love, patience, and understanding. May they seek Your will in their marriage and strive to honor You in all they do. We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or unfaithfulness that may be attempting to tear this union apart. Your Word tells us that what God has joined together, let no man separate (Mark 10:9). We pray that this marriage would be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church, a love that is selfless, sacrificial, and enduring (Ephesians 5:25).

Lord, we also bring before You the need for employment. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Guide this dear sister in her job search, giving her wisdom, discernment, and favor with those she encounters. Provide for her financial needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray that You would lead her to a job that not only meets her needs but also allows her to use her gifts and talents for Your glory. Help her to trust in You, for You are her Provider and Sustainer.

Father, we also pray for protection over this family. Guard their hearts, minds, and bodies from sickness and disease. Strengthen their immune systems and surround them with Your healing power. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Protect this husband from all temptation, Lord. Your Word warns us that no temptation has overtaken us except what is common to mankind, but You are faithful and will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. You will also provide a way out so that we can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray that he would stand firm in his faith, resisting the devil and drawing near to You (James 4:7-8).

Lord, we ask that You would fill this sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). When she feels lost or overwhelmed, remind her that You are her Good Shepherd, and she shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Help her to cast all her anxieties on You because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that she would find her strength in You, for You are her refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).

Finally, we pray that this family would grow in their faith and trust in You. May they seek You first in all things, knowing that when they do, all these other things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). We declare breakthrough over this marriage and this job search, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

We're walking with you in prayer for your marriage and your job search. It's clear you love your husband and are carrying a lot on your shoulders right now, wanting to see him guided and protected, while also feeling the weight of needing work and financial provision. That's a heavy place to be, and we don't want to minimize how stretched and lost it can feel.

What often helps in a season like this is to narrow things down to one small, doable step in each area, rather than trying to solve everything at once. For your marriage, the simplest path forward might be to focus less on the big picture issues and more on creating one moment of connection or safety this week. The most helpful question we've seen couples ask is simply, "What helps you feel safe with me right now?" and then just listening without needing to fix anything. Even a short, no-pressure conversation like that can start to rebuild some warmth.

For your job, the "lost" feeling you described is completely understandable when finances are tight. A practical step could be to sit down and list only what you can control today, maybe refreshing your resume, reaching out to one former colleague, or checking local job boards, and then set the rest down for the evening. Let tomorrow worry about itself.

And in the middle of all of it, please don't hesitate to see a doctor for any health concerns that are adding to the stress. We pray for protection, but God often uses medical care as part of that provision.

Let us pray: Lord Jesus, you see this wife and husband, and you know every pressure they're under. Protect him from every temptation, and shield them both from illness. Guide this dear woman to the right job, open a door she hasn't seen yet, and give her clarity where she feels lost. Hold their marriage steady through this stressful season. Provide for their finances in ways that remind them you are faithful. In your name we ask, Amen.

The very consciousness of your weakness and the fear of temptation that you express is not itself a fault. They are afraid to risk temptation; sometimes they are so conscious of their own weakness, that they do not exert themselves as they ought, and hence their low spirits, their melancholy, and their mourning. Yet I charge you, be not driven to a sorrow that borders upon despair, for your extremity is God’s opportunity.

Hear this word with absolute clarity. When you are so foolish as to say, "Now I am out of the reach of temptation," you are in the very midst of temptation! And when you think you are not being tempted at all, you are being tempted the most by the very fancy that you are not being tempted! Therefore, while you plead for your husband to be guarded, beware of presuming that your own request for a job and guidance is free from the tempter’s snare. If God gave Job over to Satan within limits and you know how Satan tormented him and tried to overwhelm him, would any of us dare to rush into such a trial unbidden? The man who could best exhibit the patience of Job will be the first, according to his Lord's bidding, fervently to pray, "Lead us not into temptation."

Your prayer for a job and for clarity in your situation must be coupled with this: the way of childlike trust in Providential guidance. Happy is that man who always waits upon God to know what he shall do, who asks the Lord to always guide him and who dares not lean upon his own understanding. For the Lord never promises to keep us in ways of our own choosing! If you strike off a path into the wilderness by your own folly, you cannot expect protection. But if you wait upon Him, this protection is perpetual as well as personal.

As for the sickness you dread, remember that there is not in the whole list of diseases one which the Savior did not heal. Cast this care upon Him. And while you do so, let your present sorrow drive you to a higher duty. The Lord turned again the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Your husband, in this very moment of conflict, is the one for whom you must intercede most fervently. Pray for him, even if you feel he has spoken or acted harshly. Let us learn today to imitate the example of Job, and pray for our friends, and peradventure if we have been in trouble, our captivity shall be turned.

Look to Him for this Divine support. If God could uphold Job in all his losses and sickness, you may be sure that He can support you. Come, if you are as poor as Job, be as patient as Job and you will find hope ever shining like a star which never sets. In all this, see that you sin not by unbelieving speeches, for Job charged not God foolishly. The night shall not hang its darkness forever; the sun shall yet arise.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You are in the midst of tribulation, but remember that God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able; with the temptation, He will also make the way of escape. In your marriage, hold fast to holiness and peace. The husband is head of the wife as Christ is head of the Church, so pray earnestly that your husband be guided rightly and protected from all temptation, making no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, but caring for the body only in ways that lead to health and not wantonness. As for your need of a job, be not anxious, but seek first the kingdom of God.

The desire for more is a powerful snare, but if you look for honest work that supplies daily necessities, the Lord who fed Israel in the wilderness will not forsake you. Do not judge your situation by outward appearance, for even the saints of old grew more glorious through affliction: Job was refined by trial, and Joseph found his path through hardship. The life of man upon earth is a state of testing, but He who walked upon the sea and stilled the storm holds all power over your life and health. Commit your way to Him, and He will both provide for your finances and shield your household from sickness, giving you strength to endure until the day of deliverance.
