We join you in lifting up thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father for His faithfulness and protection thus far on your journey. It is a blessing to see His hand guiding you, and we trust He will continue to keep you safe as you travel to your destination and return home. The Lord is your protector, and He watches over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
*"He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."* — **Psalm 121:3-8 (WEB)**
We also lift up your grandson, J, before the Lord, asking for wisdom, calmness, and clarity as he takes his driver’s license test tomorrow. May the Lord grant him favor and success, not just in passing the test but in becoming a responsible and cautious driver who honors God in all he does. Driving is a serious responsibility, and we pray that J will always seek the Lord’s guidance and protection whenever he is on the road.
*"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* — **Proverbs 16:3 (WEB)**
Regarding the basketball team, we pray that the coach’s heart would be softened and that the Lord would open the door for J to be part of the team if it aligns with God’s will. We also pray that, whether J makes the team or not, he would learn valuable lessons about perseverance, humility, and trusting in the Lord’s plan. Sometimes the Lord allows doors to close so that better ones may open, and we trust that His will for J’s life is perfect.
*"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* — **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)**
We are grateful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* — **John 14:6 (WEB)** It is by His name alone that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that He hears us and intercedes for us.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your protection and guidance over this family as they travel. We ask that You continue to surround them with Your angels, keeping them safe from all harm and danger. Lord, we lift up J to You as he prepares for his driver’s test tomorrow. Grant him peace, focus, and confidence, and may he pass this test with flying colors. Help him to always drive with wisdom, patience, and a deep awareness of Your presence.
We also pray for the situation with the basketball team. Lord, if it is Your will, soften the heart of the coach and open the door for J to join the team. But above all, help J to trust in You, knowing that Your plans for him are good, whether this opportunity comes to pass or not. Teach him to seek You first in all things and to find his identity and worth in You alone.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every aspect of their lives. Amen.
