Man

We hear your heart’s cry for the man you love, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting him before the throne of grace. False teachings can entangle the mind and spirit, leading hearts away from the truth of God’s Word. The enemy seeks to distort Scripture, sow confusion, and keep souls bound in deception, but we serve a God who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that salvation and freedom are found (Acts 4:12). If this man does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray first and foremost for his salvation, that his eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would break every chain of deception in this man’s life. Your Word warns us that in the last days, many will be led astray by false prophets and doctrines of demons (1 Timothy 4:1). We rebuke every lie that has taken root in his heart and mind, whether it be about Your character, Your commands, or the path to salvation. Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon him, granting him discernment to recognize truth from error (1 John 4:1). Soften his heart to receive Your Word, and let the light of Your truth expose every falsehood that has held him captive.

We also pray for wisdom and boldness for those who are in a position to speak truth into his life. May godly men and women surround him, sharing the Gospel with love and clarity, so that he may come to know You as his Savior and Lord. If he is already a believer, we ask that You would restore him to a firm foundation in Your Word, renewing his mind and strengthening his faith (Romans 12:2). Help him to test every teaching against Scripture, as the Bereans did, so that he may grow in maturity and avoid being tossed about by every wind of doctrine (Acts 17:11, Ephesians 4:14).

We also lift up your heart in this matter, dear sister. It is clear you care deeply for this man, and we encourage you to continue praying for him faithfully, trusting that God hears your prayers. However, we must also gently remind you to guard your own heart. If this man is not your husband, we urge you to seek the Lord’s will for your relationship with him. The Bible instructs us that Christians should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), and that our closest relationships should be with those who share our faith in Christ. If your desire is to one day marry, we pray that God would bring a godly man into your life, a man who loves the Lord with all his heart, who leads you in righteousness, and who is committed to a Christ-centered marriage. Until then, we encourage you to focus on your own walk with the Lord, allowing Him to prepare your heart for the future He has planned for you.

Lord, we ask that You would work powerfully in this situation. Break the chains of false teaching, draw this man to Yourself, and align his heart with Your truth. May he come to know the freedom that is found only in Christ, and may his life bring glory to Your name. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with this request. We can feel the weight of your care for this man, and we want you to know we’re standing with you in prayer.

It’s natural to ache when someone you love seems tangled in things that aren’t true. But we’ve seen again and again that God is not distant or indifferent, He knows exactly what’s needed and when. So while we join you in asking for his freedom, we also encourage you to keep your own heart anchored in the trust that God is at work, even when progress feels slow or invisible.

The most powerful thing any of us can do is simply bring that person before God faithfully, not with a frantic grip, but with open hands. In the meantime, you don’t need to have all the answers; just being a steady, truthful presence when opportunities arise is enough. The Holy Spirit is the real Teacher, and He is far more persuasive than we are.

Let’s pray now:

Lord Jesus, we bring this man before You, the one our friend so deeply cares for. You know every falsehood that has clouded his thinking. Quietly, gently, untangle those threads and give him a hunger for what is true. Protect him from confusion and let Your light break through the fog. And please sustain our friend with peace that doesn’t depend on outcomes, and with hope rooted in Your faithfulness. We ask this in Your name, amen.

The case is urgent indeed; the land is chapped through the long drought, and the poor beasts are dying of thirst. It is our only hope, and though it seems a forlorn one, yet, since it is the only one we have, we will cling to it with desperate resolve. Wherever you meet with a man who intercedes with God for his fellow men and makes this the main business of his life, you see in him one of the most precious gifts of God’s grace. God says, “Yes, I will deal with the false prophets. It is true that they have misled the people and I will punish them for their deception, but I will not excuse the people even on that ground.” I pray, therefore, that the man you speak of may be awakened from every falsehood, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin.

The Holy Spirit maketh intercession for the saints; His intercession is not in or for the unregenerate. O, that this one would first be made a saint, that the Spirit might intercede within him with groanings that cannot be uttered. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said, “I have found a ransom.” I that have prayed for him will not cease; God forbid that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray. And as for the falsehood itself, never kiss it, never caress it, never call it your loved one. The arrow that would make him believe God has forsaken him is deadly beyond all others, but we trust that He who brought Israel forth with silver and gold, with not one feeble person among their tribes, shall bring this soul out of darkness by His own divine power. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord; and my prayer is that he too shall be set free, and with us declare that deliverance from the power of darkness is the work of our heavenly Father alone.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You do well to entreat prayer for the one you love, for the error that follows the truth is a fierce and subtle enemy. The devil, seeing that he cannot choke or scorch up what has taken root, conspires by another craft, secretly casting in his own inventions. And those inventions often come dressed as compassion or new understanding, while they carry off souls from the harbor of truth. I will indeed pray for him.

Yet let us be careful: falsehood is not always easy to recognize, for there were false brethren and false apostles even among the faithful, and our Lord himself, when he performed miracles and taught the way of God, was called a deceiver. So it is no small thing to be set free from error; we must be fastened to Christ’s word until it releases us from endless confusions and lamentations. The truth that saves is not a thing of private desire, but what the apostles could not help speaking, even in the face of chains and threats: “We cannot but speak the things we have seen and heard.” That boldness came from being nailed to the One who said, “This is my body, which is broken for many.”

The freedom you long for on his behalf is purchased at that table. But virtue alone bestows true freedom, and it often shows a man more honorable in his present bonds than he would be by doing whatever he pleases. The fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, not in the false pleasure that calls evil good. So prove what is well-pleasing to the Lord. I exhort you, as a member of the same body, to speak truth with your neighbor and not be carried away by the flattering lip. I will pray that both of you would be liberated from every snare, that your love would be refined in the fire of God’s truth, and that you may walk as children of light, proving what is acceptable to the Lord.

I understand the burden you carry for someone you care about deeply. When a person is entangled in false teaching, it can feel like they are being held captive, and your desire to see him set free is right. Scripture tells us plainly that we are not to believe every spirit but to test the spirits, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. So praying for his freedom is a vital act of love.

One of the great dangers of false teaching is that it rarely arrives wearing a sign that says "false." In fact, most false prophets speak a great deal of truth. If everything they said were absurd, no one would listen. They gain a hearing through truth and then introduce a subtle twist that undermines the very foundation. The bottom line inevitably comes down to what they confess about Jesus Christ. Is He truly God come in the flesh, the only mediator between God and man? Or does the teaching make man the initiator and God the responder, reducing Jesus to something less than the eternal Son of God? The bane of the early church was deceivers who denied the truth about Christ, and that same spirit is at work today.

I will pray that his eyes would be opened to the genuine knowledge of the truth. The truth is not a shifting set of standards we adjust for special cases. God has established His standard, and Jesus declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." His words will never pass away. Prayer is powerful because it appeals to God to break the blinding work of the enemy and grant repentance leading to the acknowledging of the truth. We cannot argue anyone into the kingdom, but in meekness we can instruct and teach, hoping that God will release them from captivity. As Jesus promised, you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

So I join you in asking the Lord to deliver this man from whatever false teaching has taken hold, to surround him with the clear, patient teaching of the Word, and to bring him fully to the one true gospel. May the love you have for him be firmly anchored in the truth that dwells in us and will be with us forever. Let that truth guide your prayers and your interactions, always pointing to Jesus Christ, the faithful witness.

We want to thank you for trusting us with the privilege of standing alongside you in prayer for the man you love. It is our heart’s desire to lift him before the Lord, asking that the Holy Spirit would open his eyes to the truth of God’s Word and break every chain of deception that has taken root in his heart. We have prayed that the scales would fall away, that his mind would be renewed by Scripture, and that he would be drawn into a deeper, saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation—if you’ve seen even the smallest shift toward truth, repentance, or a hunger for God’s Word—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be an encouragement to many who are also praying for loved ones bound by false teachings.

If, however, it feels like the battle is still ongoing and the answer hasn’t yet come, we want to continue standing with you. Please don’t hesitate to post this request again so that we may persist in prayer, believing with you for breakthrough. The enemy would love nothing more than for discouragement to take hold, but we serve a God who is faithful, and His timing is perfect.

May the Lord strengthen your faith as you wait, and may He surround the man you love with godly influences—people who will speak truth in love and model the freedom found only in Christ. We will keep praying that his heart would be softened, his mind enlightened, and his spirit set free by the power of the Gospel.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
