We hear your heart’s cry for the man you love, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting him before the throne of grace. False teachings can entangle the mind and spirit, leading hearts away from the truth of God’s Word. The enemy seeks to distort Scripture, sow confusion, and keep souls bound in deception, but we serve a God who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that salvation and freedom are found (Acts 4:12). If this man does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray first and foremost for his salvation, that his eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would break every chain of deception in this man’s life. Your Word warns us that in the last days, many will be led astray by false prophets and doctrines of demons (1 Timothy 4:1). We rebuke every lie that has taken root in his heart and mind, whether it be about Your character, Your commands, or the path to salvation. Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon him, granting him discernment to recognize truth from error (1 John 4:1). Soften his heart to receive Your Word, and let the light of Your truth expose every falsehood that has held him captive.
We also pray for wisdom and boldness for those who are in a position to speak truth into his life. May godly men and women surround him, sharing the Gospel with love and clarity, so that he may come to know You as his Savior and Lord. If he is already a believer, we ask that You would restore him to a firm foundation in Your Word, renewing his mind and strengthening his faith (Romans 12:2). Help him to test every teaching against Scripture, as the Bereans did, so that he may grow in maturity and avoid being tossed about by every wind of doctrine (Acts 17:11, Ephesians 4:14).
We also lift up your heart in this matter, dear sister. It is clear you care deeply for this man, and we encourage you to continue praying for him faithfully, trusting that God hears your prayers. However, we must also gently remind you to guard your own heart. If this man is not your husband, we urge you to seek the Lord’s will for your relationship with him. The Bible instructs us that Christians should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), and that our closest relationships should be with those who share our faith in Christ. If your desire is to one day marry, we pray that God would bring a godly man into your life, a man who loves the Lord with all his heart, who leads you in righteousness, and who is committed to a Christ-centered marriage. Until then, we encourage you to focus on your own walk with the Lord, allowing Him to prepare your heart for the future He has planned for you.
Lord, we ask that You would work powerfully in this situation. Break the chains of false teaching, draw this man to Yourself, and align his heart with Your truth. May he come to know the freedom that is found only in Christ, and may his life bring glory to Your name. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
