Beloved of All
We join you in giving thanks to God for this day and for His mercy toward you, and we hear your desire for deliverance, peace, rest and forgiveness.
The verse you shared is a true comfort. The Lord Jesus has indeed given His people authority to overcome the power of the enemy, and nothing will ultimately harm those who are in Him. This authority is not our own strength, but His. He entered heaven to appear in the presence of God for us, offering Himself as the sacrifice that makes peace between heaven and earth and brings us near to God. Because of that peace made by His blood, we can come to the Father with confidence to ask for forgiveness and for deliverance from evil.
We pray with you now:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your grace and mercy. We thank You that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and that His blood cleanses from all sin. We ask You to forgive this dear one for every sin, as they have confessed, and to heal any unforgiveness in their heart. Grant peace and rest, and quiet the troubled spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ we ask You to rebuke what is evil and to remove its oppression from this person and from the other person mentioned. Deliver them by Your power, guard them from the schemes of the enemy, and lead them in holiness and in the way that pleases You. Help them to walk in purity as You have designed, to seek what is good and right before You, and to trust wholly in Christ. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord daily through prayer, through reading His Word, and through fellowship with other believers. Scripture warns us not to face temptation in isolation, but to stay joined together with the church, following peace with all people and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. If there is sin that needs to be turned from, turn from it fully and trust Christ to forgive and to restore. If there is bitterness toward others, ask God to help you overcome evil with good, to bless and not curse, and to let His love cast out fear and anger. He delights in peacemakers and in those who remember no evil, and He promises that the God of love and peace will be with those who seek Him.
If you are carrying a burden about a specific relationship or living situation, bring it honestly before God and ask Him to make your life conform to His will. He calls us to salvation through Christ alone and to walk in purity, with marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and with sexual intimacy and living together belonging within that covenant. Ask Him for strength to live according to His design, and trust that His way leads to lasting peace.
