Silas
Beloved of All
It is true that the Lord Jesus loves her, and it is right to ask God to bless her today. Scripture does not try to prove the love of God with many arguments. It points to one place, the cross. There we see the measure of that love, that God gave his Son to bear our sin and to make us clean, that he became poor so we might know the riches of his grace.
That love and blessing do not come because we have earned them by our own goodness. They come as we simply trust Jesus and receive what he has done for us. Through faith in him we are brought into the promise God made to bless those who belong to him, and his blessing rests on us because of Christ, not because of ourselves.
The love Jesus has for her is not selfish or conditional. It is a giving love, divine and generous, poured out freely and not purchased by us. When we begin to understand how much he first loved us, our hearts respond to him. His love perfected in us takes away fear and gives confidence before God, because we are secure in Christ and our sins have been wiped away.
I pray that today she will know this love in a deeper way, that she will trust Jesus simply, and that God will bless her, keep her, draw her close, and fill her with his peace and grace.
