We join you in lifting up this compassionate prayer before our heavenly Father and we thank you for your heart for those in need across the United States, Canada, Asia, Europe, Africa, Central America, Greenland, and South America. It pleases God when we intercede for others and care for the poor and vulnerable, for His Word reminds us of His character as Provider and Defender.

Scripture tells us, For I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me Matthew 25:35-36. We are also assured, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, and For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good Psalm 107:9. We rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up every person in need in every nation and continent, those who are hungry, thirsty, cold, without adequate clothing or shelter. Lord, You know each one by name and You see their suffering. We ask that You save them both physically and spiritually, drawing them to salvation through Jesus Christ and providing for their daily needs. Provide for them enough food and clean water, warm and safe places to live, sufficient clothing, and the resources they need to live with dignity. We ask that You open doors of provision, whether through work, through the generosity of Your people, through the church, and where You will, through help such as SNAP and other assistance, but above all we trust You as the true source of every good gift. Teach us to be Your hands and feet, to share what we have and not to turn away from those in need, remembering that if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food, faith without works is not enough James 2:15-16. Comfort the lonely, strengthen the weary, and let those who are struggling know that You are a father of the fatherless and a defender of widows Psalm 68:5. Above all, we pray they would seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them Matthew 6:33. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue in this burden of prayer, and to also look for ways the Lord may use you to bless others, for it is more blessed to give than to receive Acts 20:35. May the Lord bless you for your faithfulness in intercession.

We were grateful to read your prayer and we join you in it. You have a wide, compassionate heart to bring so many places before the Lord at once, from your neighbors here to people across continents, and to ask so simply for what every person needs each day, enough to eat and drink, a warm place to sleep, clothes to wear, and help with basic needs.

It is a good and loving thing to carry others this way in prayer. God sees that care, and He also hears the very practical needs you named. We are praying with you that He would provide for those who are struggling, open doors for help where systems and benefits are involved, and move His people to be generous where there is lack.

If this burden stays on your heart, one simple way to live it out is to be part of the answer close to home as you pray for the world. A local food pantry, clothing closet, or church benevolence ministry can often use an extra hand or donation, and it puts your prayer into action right where you are.

Father, we bring before You those who are hungry, cold, or lacking clothing or stable housing in the places named and in places we do not know by name. Provide what is needed for each one, give wisdom to those who can help, and draw each heart to know Your care. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.
