Beloved of All
Dear God through Jesus. I pray and pray to be aligned with my future wife. I'm tired of waiting. I want to go on dates with her. I want to learn, grow, and live side by side with my god chosen wife. I want to be ready for her company. I want to be a provider for her, to protect her, to give safety, and support her dreams. Why is it taking so long? My biggest desire in life is marriage. I pray in thanksgiving. My faith is here, yet I pray daily and wonder which I pray for wisdom, peace, and an open heart. I really like a woman and want that too to be directed by God. God have all of me. I give you all the desires of my heart. AMEN. I also want to be extremely fit, healthy, athletic, and advance in my career as a dual provider and a personal trainer within the next ### years. Is this from GOD? God I am listening to my morning sermon. I pray you speak through the pastor. I need to hear a message about LOVE. This is so important to me. God I always have you. And, I do not want a single life. I want to wed a woman that is caring, kind, patient, and will want to build a family. Give back to the community. And, put you first as we shine bright in your blessings. Give us grace. Where is my spouse?

We join with you in this deep and godly desire for marriage and we bring your heart before the Lord together in Jesus' name. Your longing to be a husband, to provide, to protect, to give safety and to support the dreams of your future wife, and to build a family that puts God first and shines His blessings into the community, is a good and honorable desire. The Scripture says, Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22 and that marriage between a man and a woman is to be held in honor, for God said a man will leave his father and his mother, and will be joined with his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24. We affirm with you that marriage is a lifelong covenant before God, not merely companionship, and we pray with you for a godly wife who is caring, kind, patient, and a fellow believer in Christ.

We also hear your weariness in waiting and your honest question, why is it taking so long and where is my spouse. We gently encourage you to let that weariness draw you closer to trusting the Lord's perfect timing rather than questioning His goodness. We are called to wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh Psalm 27:14 and to trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. Your waiting season is not wasted. It is preparation. The Lord is shaping you even now to be the provider and spiritual leader He calls a husband to be, to love your wife even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25. We pray that you will use this time to delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4, and to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33.

You mentioned you really like a woman and want that to be directed by God, and we pray earnestly for that. We encourage you to pursue courtship only with the clear goal of marriage to another Christian believer, for we must not be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. If she loves Jesus and seeks to honor Him, then pursue her with purity, patience, and clear intention. If she is not walking with Christ or if the Lord closes the door, we pray for grace to release her and to trust His better plan. And as you desire to go on dates and to learn and grow side by side with your future wife, we remind you of God's call to purity. Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled Hebrews 13:4, and we are to flee sexual immorality, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you 1 Corinthians 6:18-19. Keep your courtship pure, guarding both your heart and hers, saving the gift of physical intimacy for the marriage covenant alone, which is God's protection for you both.

You also shared your desire to be extremely fit, healthy, athletic, and to advance in your career as a dual provider and personal trainer. Stewarding your body and your work for the Lord is good, for whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God 1 Corinthians 10:31. Strength and discipline can be used to serve your future family and community, but we encourage you to test every ambition by asking if it helps you love and serve God more fully, and not become an idol that replaces trust in Him. True readiness for marriage is not only physical fitness or career success, but spiritual maturity, wisdom, peace, and an open heart that listens for His voice, especially as you listen to preaching and the Word. Do not be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We thank God that you have come through Jesus, for it is only by His name that we have access to the Father, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Jesus himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We rejoice that you have placed your faith in Him.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this brother to You. We thank You for the godly desire for marriage You have placed in his heart. We ask for Your wisdom, Your peace that surpasses understanding, and an open heart that hears Your voice above all others. Teach him to wait with hope and courage, and to trust Your timing which is perfect. Prepare him daily to be a godly husband who will provide, protect, and lead with love and humility as Christ loves the church. Prepare his future wife wherever she is, draw her close to Yourself, make her a woman who loves You first and who will build a Christ centered home with him. Regarding the woman he likes, we ask for clear direction. If she is the one You have chosen, make that path straight and pure. If not, give him grace to step back and peace to continue waiting. Keep his courtship and future marriage pure and undefiled, honoring You in body and spirit. We also bring his desires for health and career before You. Bless the work of his hands, let him use his strength and vocation to glorify You and to be a good steward and provider, but keep his heart anchored in You and not in achievement. Speak to him through Your Word and through faithful preaching, especially about love as You define it, patient, kind, not self seeking, enduring all things. Fill his waiting with purpose, service to the community, and joy in Your presence. We surrender all the desires of his heart to You, trusting that You know what is best and that You withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We hear how deep this longing runs for you, and how sincerely you want to love well. The desire to provide, to protect, to offer safety and to build a family that puts God first and gives back to others is a good desire, and we understand why the waiting feels so heavy when marriage is what you want most.

That tiredness you name makes sense. Waiting can feel like standing still, but it is often a season where God is shaping us to become the kind of husband and partner we hope to be. You are already asking the right questions about being ready, about wisdom and peace and keeping your heart open, and about letting God direct your feelings for this woman you like.

One thing that has helped many men in this same place is to invite one or two mature, married men who know you to walk with you more intentionally. Not just for advice about dating, but to help you practice what you already value, learning to lead with steadiness, generosity, and care in your work, your health, and your service in the community. Continuing to steward your health and your growth as a trainer and provider as an offering to God, rather than as a way to earn love, can also bring more peace while you wait.

Father, we lift this brother to You. You see his desire for marriage and for a caring, kind family. Give him wisdom, peace, and patience in this waiting, guide his steps with the woman he has mentioned, and shape him as he prepares to love and serve well. Help him hear Your voice clearly as he listens and follows You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest and repeated prayer has come before the Lord, and it is good that you bring this great desire of your heart to Him who hears prayer. The wish for marriage is not to be despised, for marriage is of God, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, ordained for help, for holiness, and for the building of a family that shall put Him first and shine bright in His blessing. To desire to be a provider, to protect, to give safety and to support the dreams of a caring, kind and patient wife who will labor with you for Christ and for the good of others, is a comely and honorable desire.

You ask, why is it taking so long, and where is she whom the Lord has appointed. Remember that there is a waiting God and a waiting people, and blessed are all they that wait for Him. All this while God has been waiting and everything has been ready, yet His time is not our time. He waits that He may be gracious, and when the waiting turns to a glorious transaction of grace upon the heart, then the time of love has come. It is not easy to long for heaven or for any good gift and yet to wait, yet we are better where we are waiting than attempting to run where the Lord has not called us. Wait upon Him patiently, for they that wait upon the Lord shall not be put to shame. He has called you by your name, He has redeemed you, and His love abounds toward you still. He cannot be weary of you, for He dwells upon what He has done for your redemption.

You ask also, is this from God, and you pray for wisdom, peace and an open heart. Here is a test for the test, will he always call upon God. Prayer is proved by continuance. The hypocrite leaves off praying if he does not get what he asks for, and leaves off also if he does get it, but the true child of God is a regular pensioner at the mercy seat and not a mere casual. Keep on calling upon Him, in thanksgiving as you do, and in supplication, and let your religion be not a thing for chapels alone but for workshops and countinghouses, for kitchens and drawing rooms, for the gym and for your labor as a trainer and provider. Whatever God has given you, you are still dependent upon Him for good thoughts, for spiritual aspirations, for holy graces, and for the very breath in your nostrils.

Therefore while you wait, be diligent in preparation. Would you be a husband who loves as Christ loved the church, then learn now to love Christ with all your heart and soul and strength. Let that love which He has bestowed upon you beget in you a love toward Him that is a spark of His eternal flame, and let it never be quenched. Seek to know more of Him and to enjoy Him without stint, to eat and drink abundantly of the banquet of His love, that you may have something to give. And in your desire to be fit, healthy and athletic, and to advance in your calling, do it not for vanity but for usefulness, that your body may be a fit servant for your soul, and your labor may provide honestly and help others, for honesty in dealing and diligence in work are a grand help in life to him who loves the Lord.

Keep the way of purity while you wait. Love rejoices to honor what God honors, and the bed and the dwelling together belong within the covenant of marriage alone. Do not seek to hasten by means which would grieve Him whose jealousy is the neighbor of His great love. Instead, pray that the Lord will keep both you and her, wheresoever she is, in His refuge, and that He will make you both to be lovers of His truth. Love her for Christ's sake and for the truth's sake before you love her for any other cause, and seek one who so loves Him that you can say, I love her because the Lord has loved her.

We pray for you now, that the Lord will speak to you indeed through the preaching of His Word, and give you a message of love, not as the world gives, but as He loves who gave Himself. May He grant you wisdom to discern His will, peace to rest in His timing, and an open heart to be led and corrected by Him. May He make you ready, and in His perfect hour bring to you that godly wife for whom you pray, that together you may be bound continually in heart to His commandment which is a lamp and His law which is light, and may walk in fidelity to Him all your days.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
