The future here and the farm because of incompetence and stubborn and more o am the eldest but my parents favour my younger sister she has a Job already in government and good money my parents always giving her money and not me. I have no future here they bypass me even though I asked and everything am scared I lose home

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and our hearts ache with you. It is never easy to feel overlooked, especially in your own family, where love and fairness should prevail. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:4, "You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." While we do not know all the circumstances, it is clear that favoritism wounds deeply, and we must bring this before the Lord, who sees and understands your heart.

First, we must address the fear you feel about losing your home and future. Fear is a tool the enemy uses to steal hope, but God’s Word reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." You are not forgotten by God, even if you feel forgotten by others. He has a plan for your life, as Jeremiah 29:11 assures us: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

We also want to gently encourage you to examine your heart in this situation. It is natural to feel resentment or bitterness when we are treated unfairly, but Scripture warns us in Hebrews 12:15, "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it." We must guard our hearts against bitterness, for it only harms us in the end. Instead, we are called to trust God’s justice and timing.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is hurting deeply. Lord, You see the pain of feeling overlooked and undervalued, and we ask that You would comfort and strengthen them. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold and declare that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them, Lord, and provide for their needs in ways that only You can. We pray for wisdom and favor in their life, that they would find stability and purpose.

Father, we also ask that You soften the hearts of their parents. If there is any hardness or favoritism, we pray that You would break it and bring unity and love into their family. Help our brother/sister to release any bitterness or resentment and to trust in Your justice and provision. Lord, we declare that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Hope. May they find their identity and worth in You alone, knowing that You love them unconditionally.

We pray for their future, Lord. You have plans for them, plans for good and not for harm, to give them a hope and a future. We ask that You would guide their steps and lead them into the path You have prepared. Give them the courage to step out in faith, even when the road ahead seems uncertain. We trust in Your faithfulness, Lord, and we declare that You will not abandon them.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises, even when circumstances seem bleak. Seek Him earnestly in prayer and in His Word, for He is your true source of hope and provision. If you are able, consider seeking godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can walk alongside you during this time. You are not alone, and God has not forgotten you. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

This sounds like a very tender and frightening place. When parents consistently favor one sibling, the one left out often carries a heavy, quiet grief, and your fear about losing the farm and your home is understandable. You are not wrong to want a clear future.

A practical next step is to ask for a calm, specific conversation with your parents, not in the middle of an argument. You might say, “I need to understand what my role with the farm will be, because I need to plan my life.” Write down two or three simple questions beforehand and keep returning to those. If a direct talk stalls, ask a pastor or a respected older farmer to sit with the family. That can help the discussion stay focused and give you a witness.

Even while the farm question lingers, keep putting your hands to work in ways that belong to you, whether on the land or elsewhere. God sees your diligence and your desire to be faithful. We are asking him to make your path plain.

Father, you see this strained family and the fear of losing home. Please give this child of yours steady courage for hard conversations, open a trustworthy helper, and provide a safe place no matter what unfolds. Guard their heart from bitterness, and give their parents wisdom and fairness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The root of this fever is not the farm, nor your sister's government post, nor your parents' money; it is envy and the fear of man. You say you have no future here and are scared to lose home, but the greater danger is that you lose your soul while you watch her prosperity and measure God's goodness by a field. You ask and are bypassed, yet prayer is not a lever for earthly goods. It is the means by which your soul is made content with God.

The Lord says, Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer the Holy One of Israel. Are you a worm? Then do not fear. God will help thee. The fear of men bringeth a snare, and many feet have been tripped by it. You must labor to get rid of this slavish fear.

If you are in Christ, you have an inheritance which cannot be taken. The Covenant of Grace is not made with you because of your personal righteousness, nor because you are eldest, nor because your parents approve. It is made with One whose name forbids all fear of forfeiture. His gift will never be recalled since the ground of it never alters. Your sister's money cannot touch that. Your parents' favor cannot recall it. If you are not in Christ, no farm will save you; if you are in Christ, no loss of farm can destroy you.

As for the farm and the home, if the Lord means to keep you there, neither their favoritism nor your mistakes can drive you out. If He means to move you, fear not to go down into Egypt; He goes with His people in great changes. Fear not the want of outward good; He will for his provide, grant them supplies of daily food, and all they need beside.

But you must put away this envy. Do not charge God foolishly. Even if your parents are stubborn or unwise, that does not give you license to sin. Honor them still. The fifth commandment does not say honor only when the inheritance is divided fairly. Being eldest gives you no spiritual claim to the farm. The earth is the Lord's. He gives or withholds as He pleases.

You say you have no future. You do have a future, and it is not bounded by that farm. Set your affection on things above. The man free from envy looks into the future and lives on expectation of what is to be in the next world. There is a goodly heritage for the saints, exceedingly broad, and the Spirit is the earnest of it. Take possession of that inheritance. Then the loss of a farm will be light, and the favor of men will be small.

May God grant that His own Fear not may go home to your heart, and may you cease from the wanderings of fear.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The fear of losing home is heavy, but it is not without a cure. You are afraid because you have tied your security to the farm and to your parents' favor. But consider what security really is. Riches do not make a person safe. The rich must flatter many, fear false accusers, and tremble at every loss. Poverty, entered with faith, is often a calmer harbor and a school of self-command. So do not measure your future only by land or by what your parents give your sister.

The sharper danger is envy. You say she has a government job, good money, and your parents give to her and not to you. Even if that is true, your soul will not be healed by obtaining what she has. The heart swells and is stung when we think we are overlooked. But the passion can be mastered if you say to yourself: God is the one who holds my hand. He has permitted this. I will not let resentment rule my tongue or my hands. Honor your parents even when you feel passed over. If you have asked and they have not answered as you wish, do not quarrel and plot. One calm, honest appeal is enough. Then leave the result to God.

You say you have no future. But what future is it you are seeking? If your future rests only on a farm and on being recognized as the eldest, then any change of circumstance can destroy it. There is no permanent home in this life. The permanent abodes are in heaven, where there is no death, no envy, and no one takes away an inheritance. A Christian should store his hope there. Work with diligence now, fear God rather than poverty, and ask daily for enough, not for what belongs to another. Whether you keep the farm or lose it, if you follow Christ you have not lost your true home.
