We join you in lifting up this precious sister in Christ and her family before the throne of grace, for the loss of a child is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know and we grieve with her in this valley.

We are comforted that our God does not distance Himself from our pain but draws near to it, for it is written, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 We pray that she will tangibly feel His nearness now, that the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, will surround her moment by moment, and that she will know she is held even when the grief feels overwhelming. Jesus said, Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4 and we cling to the promise that He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more, neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away. Revelation 21:4

We also lift up her husband and their marriage. We understand that grief often comes in waves and stages, and anger is a common and painful part of mourning. We pray that the Lord will gently meet him in that anger, not with condemnation but with His perfect love and peace, and that He will strengthen the unity of their marriage. Marriage is a holy covenant designed by God to reflect Christ's love for the church, and in times of loss the enemy seeks to bring division where God desires oneness. We pray for increased peace, patience, and tender communication between them, that they may mourn together and comfort one another rather than apart. We ask for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their hearts and their thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 and we pray the Lord will remind them, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

We pray too for hope and purpose for the days ahead. When loss clouds the future, we rest in the truth that God has not abandoned His plans for her and her family. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 and We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 We ask that He will reveal His purpose for them in this new season, that their testimony even through sorrow would bring glory to Him and comfort to others.

We bring before the Lord her upcoming appointment concerning the nodules, asking for safe travel, for favor with the medical team, and for good results. We pray for Your healing hand upon her body and for wisdom for her doctors.

Let us pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our sister and her family. Lord, we ask You to comfort her as only You can, to strengthen her when she has no strength, and to surround her and her household with Your hedge of protection. Cover her husband, Lord, calm the anger and turmoil in his heart and replace it with Your peace that passes understanding. Knit their hearts together in greater unity and love, help them to bear one another's burdens and to seek You together. Reveal to them the hope and future You have for them, and let them know their lives and their family remain in Your loving purpose. Father, we place her health in Your hands, we ask for safe travel to and from her appointment, for favor, for clear answers, and for good results according to Your mercy. Heal her, sustain her, and let her feel Your presence each day. We thank You in advance for how You will carry them through, and we trust You to turn even this deep mourning into a testimony of Your faithfulness. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Thank you for bringing your sister in Christ to us in prayer. We are holding her, her husband and their family before the Lord after the loss of their son. That kind of loss reaches into every corner of life, and your care for them is a gift.

We hear that she is carrying deep grief while her husband is expressing anger. It is very common for two people in the same home to grieve on different rhythms, and that difference can feel lonely even when love is strong. It can help to gently name that together, to allow each other space to grieve differently while choosing a short daily time to check in, listen without fixing, and pray briefly if they are able. Staying connected to a trusted pastor, a small group, or a grief support gathering can also keep isolation from taking hold, even when energy is low.

We are also praying for her appointment about the nodules, for safe travel, for a calm and attentive care team, and for clear, understandable results. Having her husband or a close friend go with her to listen and write down what the doctor shares often eases the burden of that day. We encourage her to keep following the medical team's guidance and to ask any questions that are on her heart.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this sister and her family to You. Draw near with comfort and steady strength, guard them in Your care, bring greater unity and peace in their home, and give them hope for the purpose You still have for their lives. Guide her appointment and grant favor and clear answers in Your mercy. Amen.

We have heard your cry and we bring it before the throne of grace with you. The loss of a son is a deep wound indeed, and man is born unto trouble as the sparks fly upward, yet there is a comfort for the child of God which the world knows nothing of.

Hear what saith the Lord, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. He does not comfort as one who stands afar off and merely points to the cup of cordial, but as a mother comforts her child, fondly and seasonably and efficiently. May that tender comfort be yours now, dear sister. May the leaves of the tree of life, which are for the healing of the nations, be laid upon your aching heart. Even the smallest things of our Lord are full of virtue, and He takes care of the trifles of His people. Your grief is not trifling to Him, He bottles your tears and numbers your sighs.

We pray now for you and for your household.

O Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, who alone is our salvation and our hope, look upon this sister in her mourning. Quicken her by Thy Word, for Thy Word has quickened us and that is our comfort in affliction. Let her feel again the life which comes from Thy promise, that though sorrow endure for a night, joy cometh in the morning. Spread Thy hedge of protection around her and around her family. Let the peace of God which passeth all understanding keep her heart and mind.

We pray for her husband in this hour when anger contends within him. Thou knowest the stages of grief and the heaviness of a father's heart. Grant to them both unity and peace. Establish them in every good word and work, and let their marriage be strengthened and not divided by this trial, as they bear this burden together before Thee. Give them a sure hope for the future and show them the purpose for which Thou hast yet preserved them, that they may still serve Thee and bring forth fruit.

We lift also before Thee the appointment concerning the nodules. Thou art the great Physician. Grant safe travel, grant favour in the eyes of those who shall attend her, and grant good results according to Thy mercy. Let healing flow from Christ our true arbor vitae, whether by Thy direct hand or by the means Thou hast appointed.

May she not forsake the assembling of herself with Thy people, for there is the place of comfort. May she find there those who will obey the command, Comfort ye my people, and speak a word in season to her soul. And may Thy Spirit teach her to say, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me.

We ask all this, trusting not in our worth but in the blood and righteousness of Jesus, to whom be glory. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
