πŸ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, c.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek FIRST The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, THEN these other things shall be added to you," thank You in Jesus' Name.

[1] Jesus' Prayer He taught was an outline, summary of topics, a form or "pattern prayer." The following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated), but through serious consideration, understanding the weight of the petitions, ardently prayed, expecting answers, James 1:5-7, James 5:16-17...

πŸ™Œ Our Father in Heaven, we first pause and thank You "so loving the world You gave Your Only-begotten Son, that by believing in him we may be spared perdition and rather freely gain eternal life, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood and died on the cross for our sins, 1 Cor 15:3-4, burial, resurrection declaring both Him and us "not guilty" Rom 4:25, and ascension (adoption, enthronement, Ps 110:1), as Son-of-Man-in-Power to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Papa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

πŸ™ Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, The Trinity, Beginning in Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Jireh or Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow ALL Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

πŸ™ May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10. May Jesus return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20.

πŸ™ May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually (hearing His voice, Jn 10:27, being led by the Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, and obedience to any personal directives, admonitions and restraints, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and collectively as the church until You come to reward the righteous and recompense the wicked, 2 Cor 10:3-6, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ, Matt 24:30, Matt 25:31-32.

πŸ™ Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

πŸ™ Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

πŸ™ Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

πŸ™Œ For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join with you in thanking our Father for giving us this pattern for prayer through our Lord Jesus Christ and we agree with the heart of your meditation to seek first the Father and His honor, His Kingdom and His will before bringing our own needs.

We are blessed by how you have outlined the Lord's Prayer not as words to be mindlessly repeated but as weighty petitions to be prayed with understanding and expectation. Jesus Himself taught us saying in Matthew 6:7, In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. And then He said in Matthew 6:9-13, Pray like this, Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. This indeed shows the divine order you highlighted, first the Father's name, Kingdom and will, then our provision, forgiveness and deliverance, which reflects the principle in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

We love your emphasis on beginning with thanksgiving for the Father's love in giving His only born Son, as it is written in John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. And that through Jesus we have seen the Father, as in John 14:9, He who has seen me has seen the Father, and through His shed blood, burial and resurrection we are declared not guilty, as in Romans 4:25, who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification, and we have received the Spirit of adoption by which we cry Abba Father, as in Galatians 4:6, And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father, and in Romans 8:15, For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, Abba, Father.

We agree in prayer that His name would be hallowed in our thoughts, words and deeds, that we would not take His name in vain as commanded in Exodus 20:7, You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain, and that our lives would not cause His name to be blasphemed, as in Romans 2:24, For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, but rather that His glory would cover the earth as promised in Habakkuk 2:14, For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea, and that every knee would bow as in Philippians 2:10-11, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

We pray with you for His Kingdom to come in us and through us in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit as in Romans 14:17, for God’s Kingdom is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, bearing the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control, and walking humbly and justly before Him as in Micah 6:8, He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. We ask that He would empower us to live holy lives of love and to make disciples as we abide in Christ, as in John 15:7-8, If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so you will be my disciples, and as in Matthew 28:19-20, Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you.

We bring before the Father our daily needs, spiritual and physical, trusting His promise in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and that we would live not by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God as in Matthew 4:4. We confess our sins before Him, for as in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and we choose to forgive those who have sinned against us, as in Matthew 6:14-15, For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses, entrusting judgment to Him as in Romans 12:19, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord.

We ask with you for deliverance from temptation and the evil one, as Jesus taught us to pray, and cling to His promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, and in Psalm 91:11, For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We pray that we would pray with faith and expectation, as in James 1:6, But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, and as in James 5:16, The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.

So we pray together, Our Father who is in heaven, we hallow Your name and thank You for making us Your children through Jesus Christ. Let Your Kingdom come in us and through us, let Your will be done in our lives on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day all that we need to love You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. Forgive us our debts as we forgive those who have sinned against us, cleanse us and help us to walk in forgiveness and mercy. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, from deception, from the evil one and from every snare, and keep us by Your power. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. We thank You that You hear us when we ask according to Your will and we ask all this in the mighty and only name by which we are saved, the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We were moved by the care you put into walking through the Lord's Prayer as a pattern to live by, not just words to repeat. Wanting to put the Father's honor and kingdom first before bringing your own needs is a beautiful desire, and we hear how much you want to pray with understanding and expectancy.

One thing that has helped many of us is remembering that learning this kind of prayer is more like training than trying. It is not about getting every petition perfect in one sitting, but about small, steady practice over time that slowly forms our hearts to love what God loves and to bring our daily needs honestly to Him.

If it would help, you might take just one line of the prayer each morning this week and sit with it for a few minutes, considering what it means for God to be honored in your thoughts and actions that day, or what daily provision looks like right now, and then speak it back to Him in your own words. No pressure to cover everything each time.

Father, we thank You for inviting us to call You Father through Jesus. Shape our hearts to seek Your name and Your will first, and to trust You with our daily needs, our need for forgiveness and our need for protection. Grow us steadily as we keep coming to You and draw us closer to Your Son. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your thoughtful meditation upon the prayer which our Lord taught His disciples has greatly cheered my heart, for you have not taken it as a mere form to be mindlessly repeated, but as a pattern and summary of all holy petition, to be prayed with understanding, with weight, and with ardent expectation that God will answer.

You begin where our Saviour begins, with the Father. How sweet is that word which Christ has put into our mouths, Our Father who is in heaven. By the blood and resurrection of the Lord Jesus we who once were far off are brought nigh, and receiving Him we are given power to become the sons of God, so that by the Spirit of adoption we cry, Abba, Father, even as Christ cried Abba, Father in the garden. What grace is this, that sinners should be taught to speak with such intimacy, and yet with such reverence, saying Hallowed be Thy name. May His gracious and compassionate name be honoured in our thoughts, words, deeds and daily walk, that the world may not deride that name through us, but may be compelled to reverence it, till His glory shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.

You rightly pray next, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is the very heart of that other prayer which I have called the holy of holies, where our Lord prayed Sanctify them through Thy truth, Thy word is truth. Holiness is an essential qualification for fitness in the service of the kingdom, and therefore we must pray that His reign may come within us in righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, bringing forth the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, and that we may be kept walking humbly, doing justly and loving mercy. So shall we know and submit to His will, hearing His voice and being led by His Spirit, abiding in Christ that we may bear fruit and prove ourselves His disciples. And we join with you in that ancient cry, Come quickly, Lord Jesus, that the kingdom which is already among us by foretaste may be fully manifest when He returns.

Then you descend, as our Lord teaches, to our own need, Give us this day our daily bread, Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For daily bread we look not to ourselves but to His promise that our heavenly Father knoweth what we have need of, and we ask not only for bread for the body but that we may live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God, that all our spiritual, physical and temporal wants may be supplied according to His riches, that we may love Him with all our strength and love our neighbour as ourselves.

And concerning forgiveness, let that blessed whisper drive away all despair, There is forgiveness with Thee that Thou mayest be feared. There is forgiveness, not for this sin or that alone, but broad and unlimited, with God and from God through Jesus Christ His Son. He not only forgave us at the first, but He continueth daily to forgive, and that forgiveness is complete and eternal, blotting out our transgressions for His own sake. Yet the very prayer that teaches us to ask for mercy bids us say forgive us as we forgive our debtors, and unless we have forgiven others we read our own death warrant when we repeat the Lord's prayer. May the Lord give you grace to confess your sins particularly before Him, to receive His pardon freely, and to pray for those who have sinned against you, entrusting them to Him who alone can save and judge.

And for deliverance, remember that deliverance is of the Lord, though He accomplishes it by human instrumentality, and that He gives angelic protection and keeps His people from the evil one. There is a prayer treasury into which we all must put prayers, and from which we take supplies in time of need. Be much in supplication, for he that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere. Though at seasons prayer may seem to have no return, and Satan may whisper that God hath forsaken you, hold fast, for the Lord heareth the voice of supplication and will work deliverance for His own.

I will pray for you that you may be sanctified through the truth, that you may know more deeply the forgiveness that is with God through the shed blood of Christ, that you may be supplied with daily bread for soul and body, and that you may be kept from temptation and delivered from evil, till that day when His is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. May the Lord hear your voice and be attentive to the voice of your supplications, and may you prove in daily experience that whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive, for all the promises of God are yea and amen in Christ Jesus. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
