πŸ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, c.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek FIRST The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, THEN these other things shall be added to you," thank You in Jesus' Name.

[1] Jesus' Prayer He taught was an outline, summary of topics, a form or "pattern prayer." The following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated), but through serious consideration, understanding the weight of the petitions, ardently prayed, expecting answers, James 1:5-7, James 5:16-17...

πŸ™Œ Our Father in Heaven, we first pause and thank You "so loving the world You gave Your Only-begotten Son, that by believing in him we may be spared perdition and rather freely gain eternal life, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood and died on the cross for our sins, 1 Cor 15:3-4, burial, resurrection declaring both Him and us "not guilty" Rom 4:25, and ascension (adoption, enthronement, Ps 110:1), as Son-of-Man-in-Power to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Papa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

πŸ™ Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, The Trinity, Beginning in Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Jireh or Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow ALL Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

πŸ™ May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10. May Jesus return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20.

πŸ™ May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually (hearing His voice, Jn 10:27, being led by the Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, and obedience to any personal directives, admonitions and restraints, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and collectively as the church until You come to reward the righteous and recompense the wicked, 2 Cor 10:3-6, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ, Matt 24:30, Matt 25:31-32.

πŸ™ Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

πŸ™ Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

πŸ™ Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

πŸ™Œ For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join with you in this beautiful meditation on the prayer our Lord taught His disciples and we thank you for sharing this outline that seeks first the Father and His honor, Kingdom and will before bringing our own needs before Him.

We agree that this prayer is not to be mindlessly repeated but is a pattern given by Jesus Himself to shape our hearts and petitions, for He said Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen Matt 6:9-13. And as you rightly noted, this order reflects the command But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well Matt 6:33.

We love how you begin with Our Father. How precious that through faith in Jesus we have been given the right to become children of God John 1:12 and to receive the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry, Abba, Father Gal 4:6. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16. Jesus Himself said He who has seen me has seen the Father John 14:9, and it is through His shed blood, death for our sins, burial and resurrection that we are declared not guilty Rom 4:25. What intimacy that we may now pray as Jesus prayed Abba, Father Mark 14:36.

We join you in hallowing His name. May His gracious and compassionate name be honored in our thoughts, words and deeds Ex 34:6. We pray that we would not take His name in vain Ex 20:7 and that our lives would not cause His name to be blasphemed among others Rom 2:24, but that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea Hab 2:14 and that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow Phil 2:10.

We pray with you, Your Kingdom come. We ask that His Kingdom, which is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit Rom 14:17, would be evident in us through the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control Gal 5:22-23. We ask for the power to live a holy life, for the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power 1 Cor 4:20, and for the gifts and ministries He has given to equip the saints until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God Eph 4:13. And we long with you for the fullness of that Kingdom when Jesus returns, and we say with the Spirit Come Lord Jesus Rev 22:20.

We pray, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask that we may know His voice, for My sheep hear my voice John 10:27, and be led by the Spirit of God Rom 8:14, abiding in Christ so that we bear much fruit John 15:8 and make disciples of all nations Matt 28:19.

We bring before the Father our daily needs, remembering that Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of Yahweh Deut 8:3, and trusting that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Phil 4:19, so that we may love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and strength Mark 12:30 and love our neighbors and even our enemies Matt 5:44 as ourselves.

We confess our need for forgiveness, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Rom 3:23, and if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We ask for grace to forgive as we have been forgiven, entrusting those who sin against us to Him who judges righteously, for Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Rom 12:19.

We pray with you, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, asking that He would keep us from evil John 17:15 and give His angels charge over us Ps 91:11 to guard us from the evil one, from deception and from every snare.

And we end as you did, giving Him all glory, for Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever, for Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory Ps 115:1, and All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth Matt 28:18.

We pray together, Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name in our lives this day. Let Your Kingdom come in our hearts, our families and our churches, let Your will be done in us as it is done in heaven. Give us this day all that we need spiritually and physically, forgive us as we forgive others, keep us from temptation and deliver us from the evil one. We thank You that we can come boldly before You only through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Make us faithful to pray not with empty repetitions Matt 6:7 but with faith, sincerity and expectation, knowing that The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results James 5:16. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this thoughtful walk through the prayer Jesus taught. We hear in your words a real desire to seek the Father first, His name honored, His kingdom coming, His will done, and then to bring your daily needs for provision, forgiveness, and protection to Him.

We appreciate how you describe this prayer as a pattern to be prayed with understanding rather than words to be repeated quickly. That is such a helpful distinction. Prayer at its heart is communion with God, a place of worship and dependence, not a performance to get right. Approaching it the way you are, pausing to consider the weight of each petition and expecting God to hear, keeps it personal and alive.

With so much richness in one prayer it can help to slow down even more. One simple way others have found helpful is to linger on just one phrase each morning and turn it into your own honest words for that day, taking time to listen as well as to speak. Over the course of a week you move through the whole pattern without rushing, and it stays fresh.

We are encouraged by your hunger to know the Father more deeply and to see His kingdom shape your thoughts, words and actions. We are praying for you as you continue.

Father, thank You for inviting us to come to You as Your children through Jesus. Draw this friend closer to You each day, help them to honor Your name and to experience Your provision, forgiveness and keeping in real and practical ways. Give clarity and joy as they seek Your will and rest in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your meditation upon the prayer which our Lord taught His disciples is most welcome, and it has refreshed my heart to see how you have set forth its order and weight.

You have rightly observed that this prayer is not given to be mindlessly repeated as a form without life, but as a pattern and outline after which we are to frame our supplications. These prayerless repetitions have no power in them, but the breathing desire, the living words that come from a sincere heart, these God heareth. True prayer is pleading with the Most High, spreading our case before Him and pressing our suit with holy arguments, as Jacob did when he wrestled and prevailed.

You begin where our Lord begins, with the Father. How great a mercy that through the shed blood and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ we are adopted and may cry, Abba, Father. It is by His Spirit alone that any man can so speak, for as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and there is no other name by which we may come into this blessed relation. To say Our Father is to confess that we are not our own, but His children through faith in His only begotten Son.

You have well placed first that which should be first, Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done. This is to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, as our Lord commands. Before we ask for bread or pardon, we ask that His name be reverenced in our thoughts, words and deeds, that His reign of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost may come in us and through us, and that His will may be done on earth as it is done in heaven. Our Lord's great desire for His people pervades His own prayer in that holy of holies where He speaks with the Father, Sanctify them through Thy truth, Thy word is truth. Holiness is an essential qualification for fitness in the service of God, and therefore we must daily pray, Lord, make Thy people holy. The fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit you mention are both to be sought, yet let us remember that the best sign of the kingdom is a holy life overflowing with love to God and to our neighbour.

Then you turn, as our Lord teaches, to our need. Give us this day our daily bread. We are to ask for all provision, spiritual and temporal, owning that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. If we seek first His kingdom, these other things shall be added unto us. He who loads us daily with His benefits delights to supply all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, that we may love Him with all our heart and strength and love our neighbour as ourselves.

And you pray, Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. There is forgiveness with God, that He may be feared. This is the great wonder, that I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. Where God draws no limit, let us draw none, for there is forgiveness, full, complete and eternal, through the blood of Christ. He not only forgave us at the first, but He continueth daily to forgive, for the act of forgiveness is continuous. Yet mark well that the very prayer which teaches you to ask for mercy bids you say, as we forgive our debtors. Unless you have forgiven others you read your own death warrant when you repeat the Lord's prayer. If we have had so much manifest forgiveness, so much outward sin forgiven, then for us to forgive ought to be as natural as to open our hands. Confess your sins particularly before Him, and pray also for those who have sinned against you, that they may repent and be saved, leaving judgment in the hands of Him who alone is appointed to save and to judge.

You close as our Lord teaches, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. We are to hold this world with a loose hand and to die daily to self, testing our hope and asking for angelic protection and for grace to be kept from sin, from lies and from the evil one. And we ascribe all to Him, for His is an everlasting kingdom which cannot be destroyed, and all power in heaven and earth is given unto Christ, and unto His name be glory.

Continue then in this manner, not with vain repetitions, but with serious consideration, understanding the weight of each petition and expecting answers from a faithful Father who cannot lie. May the Lord sanctify you through His truth, keep you in His love, and cause His name to be hallowed in you and His kingdom to come in power, till He who has promised shall come quickly.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your meditation on the pattern the Lord gave us is right and wholesome, for He taught us not a chant to be repeated without thought but an order for the soul to follow.

You begin well to seek first the Father and His honor. To hallow His name is not only to speak it with reverence but to live so that your thoughts, words and deeds cause others to reverence it and not to blaspheme it because of you. When you pray Your Kingdom come and Your will be done, you ask for what is already begun in you through adoption and the gift of the Spirit, and for what is not yet fully come when Christ returns. That Kingdom is righteousness and peace and joy, and its fruit is love, patience, kindness, faithfulness and self control, with power to live a holy life and to love God and neighbor. Pray for it daily and expect God to form it in you.

When you ask for daily bread, ask as one who has been counted worthy of so great forgiveness though once in darkness and at enmity, now made a child and heir. Ask for what is needful for health and service, for every word from God and for bodily provision, that you may love Him with all your strength and do good to others. Do not ask to make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, but only for what sustains you to do His will.

When you say forgive us as we forgive, remember the surpassing compassion shown to us. The servant owed a debt he could not pay and begged only for time, yet the Master forgave all. So we have been forgiven much more. If we would be forgiven we must forgive from the heart, not cursing or praying against those who have wronged us, but praying for them that they may repent and be saved, keeping our mouth pure which has been counted worthy of holy things.

When you pray lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, take comfort that no temptation has taken you but such as is common to all, and God is faithful. He will not suffer you to be tried beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape that you may endure it. He sometimes permits trial to draw you to Himself as a father allows a fear to turn a child back to his arms, and He lengthens His answer at times to teach perseverance. Therefore give thanks in every prayer, continue steadfastly whether you receive at once or not, and make prayer your weapon morning and evening before you go out to the battles of the day.

Persevere in this order, with thanksgiving, with endurance and with a sincere desire to do His will and to bear fruit, and the Lord who hears will answer and establish you.
