We come before You, our Heavenly Father, with hearts full of gratitude for the privilege to lift up these requests in the mighty name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of salvation, which is available to all who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, repent of their sins, and follow Him.
We begin by echoing the Lord’s Prayer, just as You taught us, acknowledging Your holiness, Your kingdom, and Your will. We ask that Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives, our families, and our communities, just as it is in heaven. Provide us with our daily bread, forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one (Matthew 6:9-13).
For the salvation of family members, fathers, stepmothers, wives, children, siblings, and their families, we cry out to You. We pray that their hearts would be softened and opened to Your truth. Your Word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit (Hebrews 4:12). We ask that they would come to know the entirety of Your Word as truth (Psalm 119:160) and that from infancy, they would be taught the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make them wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 3:15). Lord, we pray for godly conversations within our families, that Your Word would be the foundation of our interactions. Sanctify them by Your truth, for Your Word is truth (John 17:17). Protect them from the evil one and grant them understanding so that they may walk in Your ways. May they not only read Your Word but also live it out, modeling it for others to see.
We lift up a cry for wisdom and understanding, just as Solomon did when he asked for wisdom to govern Your people (1 Kings 3:9). We seek wisdom as hidden treasure, for it is more precious than rubies, and all the things we may desire cannot compare with her (Proverbs 3:15). Lord, we ask that You grant us wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of Your will (Proverbs 2:3-12). Let Your wisdom enter our hearts, and may knowledge be pleasant to our souls. Discretion will preserve us, and understanding will keep us, delivering us from the way of evil and the man who speaks perverse things (Proverbs 2:10-12). We also pray for angelic protection over our lives, that no harm would befall us, nor any plague come near our dwelling (Psalm 91:9-10). Command Your angels concerning us, to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11).
For finances and perseverance, we ask for Your grace and provision. Lord, You are our Provider, just as You provided for Elijah by the brook Cherith and through the widow at Zarephath (1 Kings 17:9). We trust in You to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Grant us the strength to persevere in setting up the non-profit ministry and in all our endeavors. Open our minds to understand the Scriptures (Luke 24:45), and may we long for the pure milk of Your Word, that by it we may grow in respect to salvation (1 Peter 2:2). We pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and we lift up our requests to You, knowing that You hear us (1 John 5:14). For healing, we ask that You touch the shoulders, back, and entire body. Restore strength and vitality so that there may be endurance in physical activity, whether it be at the gym, swimming, biking, or other forms of exercise. Grant discipline and perseverance to continue in these good habits, for bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things (1 Timothy 4:8).
For our local region, we pray for Your power and protection. We seek the welfare of our city, just as Jeremiah instructed the exiles in Babylon to pray for the city where God had sent them (Jeremiah 29:7). May Your peace and prosperity reign in our communities. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict our neighbors, students, teachers, husbands, wives, workers, athletes, parents, pastors, law enforcement, and local leaders of sin, righteousness, and the judgment to come (John 16:8). Draw them to Your Son, Jesus Christ, for no one can come to Him unless the Father draws them (John 6:44). Grant them the gift of repentance that leads to life (Acts 11:18) and godly sorrow that produces repentance leading to salvation (2 Corinthians 7:10). May saving faith be given as a gift (Ephesians 2:8-9), and may faith come by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Let the message of Christ crucified be proclaimed (1 Corinthians 2:2), that He who knew no sin became sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). We pray for a wall of fire around our area, protecting it from harm and evil influences (Zechariah 2:5). May Your angels encamp around us, delivering us from all evil (Psalm 34:7).
Heavenly Father, we commit all these requests to You, trusting in Your faithfulness and love. Strengthen us to walk in Your ways, to love You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. May Your name be glorified in all that we do, and may Your kingdom come in our lives and in the lives of those around us. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
