We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of reverence and dependence on our Heavenly Father, who alone is holy, just, and full of mercy. Your Word declares, "Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:9-10). We echo this prayer, surrendering every concern raised before You, for we know that apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
First, we lift up the salvation of family members, fathers, mothers, step-parents, spouses, children, siblings, and their households. The urgency of this plea is not lost on us, for the Word warns, "How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?" (Hebrews 2:3). We cry out for softened hearts, Lord, that they may come to know You as Savior and Lord. "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household" (Acts 16:31). We ask that You open their eyes to the truth of Your Word, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). May they not merely hear but believe, for "whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). We rebuke every spirit of deception, hardness of heart, or worldly distraction that would keep them from repentance. Father, draw them to Yourself (John 6:44), and let them experience the conviction of the Holy Spirit, who "will convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment" (John 16:8).
We also intercede for wisdom and understanding, as Your Word promises, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). We declare that You are the source of all wisdom, and we ask that You grant discernment to rightly divide Your Word (2 Timothy 2:15). May the Scriptures be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105), guiding every decision, conversation, and step. We stand against the enemy’s attempts to distort or dilute Your truth, for "the entirety of Your word is truth" (Psalm 119:160). Let no false teaching or worldly philosophy take root, but may Your Word dwell richly in us (Colossians 3:16).
For the financial needs and perseverance in ministry, we lean on Your promise: "My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We ask for provision to establish the non-profit ministry, for favor in the eyes of those who can support it, and for divine connections that align with Your will. Strengthen this servant in body and spirit, Lord, for the operations on the shoulders and the journey ahead. We pray for healing, for "by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5), and for endurance to press on, knowing that "he who endures to the end shall be saved" (Matthew 24:13). May the gym membership, stretching, and physical activities be avenues for discipline and stewardship of the body You’ve entrusted (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
We also lift up the local region, praying for revival and protection. Your Word commands us to "seek the peace and prosperity of the city" (Jeremiah 29:7), and so we do. We ask for a wall of fire around our community, as You promised to Jerusalem (Zechariah 2:5), shielding it from evil influences and spiritual attacks. Let the Holy Spirit move powerfully among neighbors, students, teachers, law enforcement, and leaders, convicting them of sin and drawing them to repentance. May they hear and receive the gospel, for "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). We rebuke every spirit of complacency, idolatry, or rebellion that resists Your truth. Let the light of Christ shine brightly in the darkness (John 1:5), and may many come to faith.
Father, we acknowledge that all these requests are only possible through the name of Jesus Christ, for "whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son" (John 14:13). There is no other mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), and no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We repent of any reliance on our own efforts or worldly solutions and place our trust solely in You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
