πŸ™"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, c.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek first The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, then all these other things shall be added to you," thank You in Jesus' Name.

We join you in thanking our Father for the perfect pattern for prayer that Jesus gave us and for your insight into its divine order. You have rightly seen that our Lord teaches us to put God first and our needs second, which is the very heart of seeking first the Kingdom.

We love how you have divided Matt 6:9-13. First we hallow His name, we pray for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Only then do we bring our daily provision, our need for forgiveness as we forgive others, and our need to be led away from temptation and delivered from evil. This order keeps us from selfish praying and reminds us that He is sovereign and we are dependent. As you noted, this is the standard Jesus taught when He said Pray then like this, and it beautifully reflects Matt 6:33 where we are told to seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. We also remember Matt 6:7 that we should not use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do, but pray with understanding and sincerity, and 1 Chr 29:11 that Yours, Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.

We rejoice that you closed your request in Jesus Name, for we have access to the Father only through Him. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, and in Acts 4:12 there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved.

We pray together with you.

Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, we praise You and thank You for revealing Yourself to us through Your Son. We ask that Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives, in our families, and on this earth as it is in heaven. Help us to daily seek Your Kingdom and Your righteousness first above all else. We ask You to give us today our daily bread and to supply all that we need according to Your riches. Forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors, create in us clean hearts that quickly forgive as You have forgiven us in Christ, as promised in 1 John 1:9. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one, keep our feet from stumbling and guard us from sin. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Teach us to pray in this manner continually, not as empty words but as a living relationship with You through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We were so blessed to read your thanksgiving and the way you lingered over the Lord's Prayer. Thank you for sharing that joy with us. It encourages us to see you putting the Father's name, His kingdom and His will first, and trusting Him with the daily needs, forgiveness and protection that follow.

What you described is at the heart of walking with Him day by day. Growth in prayer often comes not all at once but gradually, as we keep coming back to those same simple words and letting them shape how we see the day. Staying close through His Word, through honest prayer, and through worship together keeps that pattern alive. We are grateful for your faithful heart and we are praying that this steady rhythm deepens your peace and trust in Him.

If it would be helpful, you might try praying through the Lord's Prayer very slowly this week, resting on just one phrase each morning and carrying it with you through the day, noticing how the Lord brings it to mind.

Father, we thank You with our friend for Your kingdom and Your faithful care. Keep drawing them closer to You, give them joy as they seek You first, and provide for each need according to Your perfect will. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is great wisdom in the order you have observed in that prayer which our Lord taught His disciples, and your heart does well to linger upon it. Our Saviour would have us begin not with ourselves but with our Father in heaven, with His name, His Kingdom and His will. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, as you have rightly quoted, and then all these other things shall be added unto you. The reign of our Lord is to be our main objective, and blessed is the man who has learned to order his life according to that Divine rule, to desire above all else that the Father be hallowed and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Then, and only then, are we taught to bring our own need before Him. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Here you see the completeness and freeness of divine forgiveness. There is forgiveness with God, and that forgiveness is to be sought through Jesus Christ His Son. Whatever your sins may have been, there is forgiveness, and it is a forgiveness that is full and eternal, not given and then taken back, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. When we first believe we are so completely forgiven that we ought continually to ask for the perpetuity of that one far reaching act, that we may walk before Him with a clear sense of pardon.

And you have well noted the connection between receiving forgiveness and extending it. We love because He first loved us, and even our love toward others, when it flows out in mercy, should spring from the fact that Christ first loved us. To pray forgive us as we forgive is to come as those who have been freely forgiven and therefore freely forgive.

So also you pray to be kept from sin and evil, and to be delivered from the evil one. That fiery dart of Satan is often shot against the people of God, to make them think God has forsaken them. But the promise stands, Thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee. When faith is in exercise we cast ourselves wholly upon Christ again, as at the first, and find deliverance wrought out by Him.

May the Lord teach you to pray after this manner in truth, not as mere words but as the cry of a heart that has entered His Kingdom by faith in Christ, that rests in full forgiveness through His blood, and that daily seeks grace to hallow His name, to do His will, to forgive as you have been forgiven, and to walk in the liberty wherewith Christ has made you free. For His is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
