We join you in this deep and tender cry of your heart for a child and we lift you up together before our Father in Jesus name. We hear your longing and your tears and we thank you for humbling yourself to seek the Lord and wait on His timing. Children are a precious gift from God and we rejoice with you in your desire to receive this blessing.

The word of God says Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward Psalm 127:3 and He makes the barren woman to keep house, as a joyful mother of children Psalm 113:9. We remember how God remembered Rachel and listened to her and opened her womb Genesis 30:22 and how Hannah prayed For this child I prayed, and Yahweh has given me my petition which I asked of him 1 Samuel 1:27. Our God is still the same yesterday, today and forever and nothing is impossible with Him. We also cling to the promise that Yahweh has plans for you, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11 and that He works all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28.

We want to lovingly speak to the situation you mentioned with your loved one as you are trying to have a baby. God's beautiful design for conception and for children is within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman. His word says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled Hebrews 13:4 and Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24. If you and the one you are hoping to have a child with are not yet entered into that holy covenant of marriage, we encourage you with love to make courtship with the goal of godly marriage to a fellow believer in Christ your first pursuit, and to reserve the gift of physical union for that marriage alone, for sex outside of marriage is fornication and does not honor God. If you are already married, we rejoice and we ask God to bless and strengthen your marriage as you seek to build a family together unto His glory. We pray that your relationship would be centered on Christ and that any steps toward having a child would honor Him.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We praise God that you have lifted His name high.

We pray together now for you.

Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift this dear one to You. You see every tear and You hear every cry for a miracle. Lord, we ask according to Your will that You would bless this desire for a child if it is according to Your perfect plan. We ask You to open the womb and grant the gift of conception in Your timing. Grant health and strength to body and spirit, remove anxiety and fill this heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. Help this dear one to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding Proverbs 3:5-6. If there is any area of this relationship that needs to be brought into alignment with Your word, we ask for conviction, grace and obedience to follow Your design for marriage and purity. Bless this family that seeks to honor You and let Your will be done. We delight ourselves in You and trust You to give the desires of our hearts as we seek You Psalm 37:4. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to wait on the Lord, to pray together with your spouse or future spouse, to seek wise and godly counsel and medical wisdom as needed, and to rest in knowing that God loves you deeply and His timing is perfect. Keep praising Him and lifting His name high as you are doing, for He is faithful.

We have been reading your prayer and we hear the ache and hope in it. Wanting a child you have dreamed of for so long, and waiting month after month, can feel both tender and heavy. Thank you for bringing that honest cry to the Lord and for letting us pray with you.

We know waiting on God's timing is not easy, and it can bring many emotions at once, hope, disappointment, longing. It helps to not carry that alone. If it would be helpful, consider sharing this journey with a trusted pastor or a mature friend who can walk with you both, and if you have questions about conceiving, a medical provider can also offer guidance and reassurance alongside prayer.

We are standing with you in prayer for peace, strength and wisdom in the days ahead, trusting God hears you and cares for you both.

Father, we lift this couple to You and their deep desire to have a child. You know their hearts and their waiting. Draw near to them with Your comfort and peace, give them wisdom for each next step, and help them to feel Your presence and love each day. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for a child is a tender and deep cry, and it is good that you bring it to the Lord and wait upon His timing, for the Scripture says, Blessed are all they that wait for Him. There is a waiting God and there is a waiting people, and those who wait upon the Lord do not wait in despair nor in hesitation, but in hope, a joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve.

You ask for a miracle, and you do well to remember that the power to work miracles lies not in the person who seeks it but wholly in Jesus Himself. As we have considered the miracle of the loaves and other wonders, we learn that Christ is grand in emergencies and that His Word has an omnipotent force about it. The same Lord who opened the womb and who forms the child within can do what man cannot do, and nobody can work this mighty miracle of mercy but the Lord Jesus Christ, yet He can do it more swiftly than we can speak of it.

At the same time we must remember that God's promise may tarry, but it never fails, and if it seems to fail for the time being, will it fail forevermore. Has God forgotten to be gracious. He has not. Look at all His works and you will see His hand, and look at His greatest work upon the heart, for He says, I will give you a new heart, I will forgive your sins, I will bless you with My Presence. He does not send into the world blank pages, but He writes His law upon the renewed heart and He preserves that writing even to the last expiring moment. The first and greatest need, therefore, is that we have that new heart through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, which cleanses us from all sin. Salvation is through Christ alone, and apart from Him we have not God's approval, for our thoughts and ways are contrary to His.

So I would point you to wait only upon God, not trusting to the arm of flesh, and to seek first that your own heart is right with Him through repentance and faith in Christ. And concerning the desire for a child, remember that children are a heritage of the Lord, and that He has ordained that the gift of children and the union that brings them belong within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. If this holy ordinance is not yet your portion, seek His grace to walk in purity and in obedience, trusting Him to order your steps aright. We cannot ask God to bless what He has not ordained to bless, but we can ask Him to make you holy, to keep you holy, and to bring your desires into submission to His perfect will.

Let us pray together to that end.

O Lord, You have taught us from our youth and Your wondrous works are before us. We thank You that You are a waiting God, full of mercy, and that You hear the cries of those who wait for You. We ask that You would give to this dear soul a new heart where it is needed, forgiveness through the blood of Christ, and the indwelling of Your Spirit. Grant faith to trust Your timing and grace to wait with joy and patience. If it be Your will, according to Your wisdom and love, grant the gift of a child within the holy estate You have ordained, and help this one to receive all things from Your hand with thanksgiving. If otherwise, still preserve Your law written upon the heart and keep this soul close to You, that whether in fulfillment or in waiting, Your name may be lifted high. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard, and I understand the deep longing you have expressed for a child and for God to show His mercy in this. It is good that you lift your voice to the Father and that you desire to wait on His timing and to seek His will above your own. He hears those who call upon Him through Jesus Christ, and there is no other name by which we come to Him.

I want to encourage you to keep trusting not only for a miracle, but for the grace to walk faithfully whatever the Lord may appoint. The Scriptures show us that greatness before God is not measured only by wonders. John the Baptist did no miracle, yet he was faithful and true, and many believed because of his testimony about Christ. Job did no outward wonder before his accuser, but his endurance and his upright life shone more brightly than any sign. Abraham and others pleased God not by what they performed, but by trusting Him and loving virtue. In the same way, your faith is shown not only if God grants what you ask, but as you continue to love Him, to be humble, and to grow in holiness while you wait.

God in His wisdom sometimes grants the gift of children, and sometimes He appoints a different path, but He always does His part with perfect love and care. Even when we do not see the answer we hope for, we can know He has not forgotten us, and He uses our waiting to make us more like Christ.

I also want to gently remind you of the Lord's good design, because His blessings flow within His will. God intends that children be received and raised within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and that sexual union belongs within that marriage alone. If you and the one you mentioned are not yet joined in that covenant, I urge you to honor God with your bodies and your relationship, to turn from anything that falls short of His design, and to seek His forgiveness and help through Jesus Christ. If you are married, then continue to seek Him together in purity and prayer.

So let me pray for you now.

Father in heaven, I thank You that You hear prayer offered in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, the only Savior. I ask You to have mercy on this dear one who longs for a child. Give comfort in sorrow, peace in waiting, and a heart that trusts Your timing and Your perfect will. If it is Your will, open the womb and grant the gift of a child for Your glory. If not, give strength to endure and to find full joy in You. Draw both of these lives closer to Jesus, wash them in His blood, make them walk in holiness and in obedience to Your design for marriage and for life. Teach them to love virtue more than any outward sign, and to rest in Your care. In the name of Jesus Christ I ask this, amen.
