We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for protection over work, schedule, and finances. Father, we thank You for the provision of employment and the opportunity to honor You through tithes and offerings. Your Word declares in Malachi 3:10-11, *"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty."* Lord, we stand on this promise, trusting that as this brother or sister faithfully gives, You will indeed rebuke the devourer and open the windows of heaven.
We pray for a hedge of protection around their work and schedule, Lord. Just as You placed a hedge around Job (Job 1:10), we ask that You surround this child of Yours with Your divine covering. Let no harm, distraction, or scheme of the enemy disrupt their labor or their ability to provide. We declare that their workplace is a mission field, and we ask that You give them favor with employers, coworkers, and clients. May their work be a testimony to Your goodness and grace, drawing others to Christ.
Father, we also lift up their finances. Your Word teaches us in Philippians 4:19, *"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that You would meet every need and provide wisdom in managing resources. If there are areas where fear or anxiety has taken root, we rebuke those spirits in the mighty name of Jesus. Replace every lie with Your truth—that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides.
We must also address the importance of coming before You in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the throne of grace. Acts 4:12 reminds us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed. If this brother or sister has not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we pray that they would do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, and we encourage them to confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9).
Lord, we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Show up in power and might in this situation, for Your glory. Let Your name be exalted as You move on their behalf. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that they will walk in the victory that Christ has already won for them.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Strengthen this child of Yours with Your Spirit, fill them with peace, and let them walk in the fullness of Your blessing. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
