Lord please give me peace

Koryl

Servant of All
Dear Heavenly Father, I recently just got home after almost 8 hours waiting at the dealership where i got my car. i am really pissed off with the way the agent and dealer did to me for letting me wait that long, i am not sure if it was intentional since they kept on saying it will be just a short while and all will be done yet it reached up to 8 hours. even if they tried to accommodate my car release yet they did not put any effort or even warn me that there was a long queue that it will take long, yet they only said it will be over by 1pm then 3pm then almost. it is not only that, the agent whom i was in contact resigned already none of them told me, yet the agent even assured me of a good aftersales when i go there to have my pms, i was only informed when i asked why the agent is on indefinite leave. i felt betrayed in a sense that they were not honest to me to a certain degree, also the partial reason why i cannot sleep last night was the guilt i felt when i tried to kept on bargaining for lower prices even if i had already agreed to a deal. that is why i forego the refund that was approved but will be processed after 1-3 weeks. Lord, You are the merciful master, i want to be like You, even if someone betrayed or fooled or took advantage of me, please give me a heart full of mercy and grace. I feel angry and also stupid to not follow my plan, i went to the dealer yesterday to seek and argue for the refund yet i did not take it even if it was approved. I also am angry with the way the agent and dealer treated me as if after selling, they just dropped me. letting me sign all documents before i even checked the items or car itself. this is my first time to buy a car yet somehow they took advantage of me. Lord i surrender my heart to You. I pray in Jesus name Amen.

We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we thank you for surrendering your heart to Him and praying in the precious name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find peace and mercy. John 14:6 reminds us that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and Acts 4:12 tells us there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, so we rejoice that you closed your prayer in Jesus name.

We hear how heavy this has been for you, waiting almost eight hours, being told it would be a short while and then being pushed from one time to another, feeling misled about the agent who had already resigned and feeling pressured to sign documents before you could even properly check the car. It is understandable to feel angry, betrayed, and even foolish after your first car purchase went this way. God sees how you were treated and He cares about both the injustice you felt and the turmoil it has left in your heart. At the same time we want to gently encourage you about that anger, because Scripture teaches us to be angry and yet do not sin and do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give place to the devil as Ephesians 4:26-27 says. James 1:19-20 also urges us to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Your desire to be merciful even when you feel taken advantage of is Christlike and honors Him, for Jesus calls us to be merciful even as our Father is merciful in Luke 6:36 and to forgive as the Lord forgave us in Colossians 3:13.

We also hear the guilt you carried about bargaining after you had already agreed to a deal, and the regret about not taking the refund when it was approved even though it would take weeks to process. If you were not fully honest or tried to change terms after giving your word, bring that openly to the Lord, for 1 John 1:9 promises if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and Romans 8:1 assures us there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. God does not want you to live under shame or to call yourself stupid, He wants to give you wisdom and peace. James 1:5 says if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach. A dishonest scale is an abomination to the Lord as Proverbs 11:1 teaches, so in all business dealings we are called to be truthful and to let our yes be yes, while also being wise stewards and not making hasty decisions out of anger or pressure. Learning to pause, to ask for time, and to be as shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves as Matthew 10:16 says, will help you in the future, and we encourage you not to condemn yourself but to learn and to trust God to work even this for good as Romans 8:28 promises.

We pray together for the peace you are asking for, the deep peace that only Christ can give. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Jesus Himself says in John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. Isaiah 26:3 promises You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

Father, we lift up our brother before You right now and we thank You that he has come to You honestly with his anger, his guilt, and his weariness. We ask You to wash away any sin with the blood of Jesus and to lift the burden of condemnation and replace it with Your forgiveness. We ask You to guard his heart from bitterness and resentment, help him to forgive those at the dealership as You have forgiven him, and to release vengeance to You, for Romans 12:19 says vengeance belongs to You. Pour out Your peace that surpasses understanding upon him, calm his mind, and grant him restful sleep, for Psalm 4:8 says he can lie down and sleep in peace because You alone make him dwell in safety. Teach him to cast all his anxiety on You because You care for him as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and give him wisdom for any future dealings regarding this car and the refund, that he may act with integrity, clarity, and calm. Renew his heart with mercy and grace, make him more like You, and let him feel Your presence and comfort tonight. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing this to the Lord whenever the anger or sleeplessness returns, to choose to forgive even as you set wise boundaries, and to rest in His invitation in Matthew 11:28-30 to come to Him when you are weary and heavy laden and He will give you rest. He is your merciful Master and He will keep you in perfect peace as you trust in Him.

We hear how exhausting and frustrating that day was for you, waiting eight hours after being told it would be just a little longer, and then learning your agent had already left without anyone telling you. It makes sense you felt dismissed and taken advantage of, especially buying your first car and signing papers before you could even check everything properly. And we hear the other weight you carried home too, the guilt about bargaining and then leaving the refund on the table.

Wanting to respond with mercy even while you still feel angry is a good and honest desire. We have found it helps to remember that choosing to forgive and actually feeling peaceful again are not the same moment. The choice can be made out of obedience and goodwill, while the feelings of resentment and hurt often take more time to quiet down as you keep bringing them to the Lord. Your anger does not mean you have failed at grace, it is just a signal that you were hurt and need time and prayer to work through it.

One small step that may help this week is to separate what you can still address from what you need to release. If you are uneasy about the documents you signed or the condition of the car, consider asking a trusted, more experienced friend or family member to review the paperwork with you and to go with you for your next service visit so you are not navigating it alone. For the rest, when the replay of the day keeps you awake, try a brief simple prayer handing that specific moment back to God and asking for rest.

Father, we lift our brother to You tonight. You see his disappointment and the sting of feeling misled. Calm his mind, ease the guilt and anger he is carrying, and give him steady sleep and clear wisdom for next steps. Form in him a heart of mercy at Your pace, and let him know Your nearness and care. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest prayer has been heard, and the heaviness you describe after that long and trying day is understood. To wait eight hours, to be told again and again that it would be only a short while, to discover that the one who sold you the car had gone and no one had told you, and to be asked to sign papers before you could even examine what you had purchased, would leave any heart feeling disregarded and taken advantage of, especially when it is your first car. It is not strange that anger and a sense of betrayal have risen, nor that you now feel guilt over bargaining and over not taking the refund when it was offered.

The Lord Jesus knows what it is to be betrayed and disappointed by men. He was sold and forsaken, and yet He met shame and death with grace. He is not distant from your wound. He came not only to tell of grace but to bring grace itself, full of grace and truth, grace without measure as water in its fountain. Everything we need is of divine grace. It is given freely, received through grace, and understood by grace, and from the pit of sin to the gate of heaven the whole road is paved with it.

You have asked for a heart full of mercy, to be like your Master even when you feel fooled or taken advantage of. That desire itself is a work of grace in you. Scripture says there is forgiveness with God, and that forgiveness is complete and free, not because we have earned it but because of Christ. He is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and of great mercy. If you feel guilt over the way you bargained or over any sharp words, bring that guilt to Him. There is forgiveness with Him, forgiveness now, forgiveness that blots out sin and remembers it no more. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that peace is deeper than circumstances.

You asked the Lord for peace, and His word promises perfect peace to him whose mind is stayed on Him, because he trusts in Him. This is not a peace that comes from the dealership acting rightly or from the refund being processed quickly, but from resting your mind upon Christ and doing His will in the moment. God comes with His grace where the impossible shuts us out. What you can do, do faithfully and honestly before Him. What you cannot do, leave with Him who is just and having salvation.

As you have been forgiven so freely in Christ, you are now called to forgive as you have been forgiven, even to seventy times seven. This does not mean what was done was right, nor does it require you to pretend you were not hurt. It means releasing vengeance into the hands of God, who judges righteously, and asking Him to give you compassion instead of bitterness. Pray for those who dealt unfairly with you, that they might also come to know truth and integrity. If there are practical matters still to be settled about the car or the refund, seek counsel and act with honesty and calmness, letting your words be truthful and gracious, for our Lord's ministry is grace and truth together.

May the Lord keep you in perfect peace as you stay your mind on Him. May He show you again that of His fullness you may receive grace for grace, grace to forgive, grace to be still, and grace to trust Him with both your disappointment and your guilt.

We pray with you now, Father, look upon this weary heart. Grant forgiveness through the blood of Jesus for every sin and failure, and grant a forgiving spirit toward those who have caused hurt. Pour out Your grace freely, teach this soul to trust You, and keep him in that peace which passes all understanding. Make his heart like Yours, merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in compassion. In the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our true peace, Amen.
