Lord please break through

Disciple of Prayer
Lord Jesus help us to release our lives in your hands so that you can break through. Lord I pray that ### would make a good group of friends with whom she can share her life and someone whom she can call her boyfriend. Someone who's trustworthy. Amen

We hear your cry for breakthrough and the deep longing of your heart, and we join you in lifting this before the throne of grace. First, we must address the foundation of your prayer—your request is made in the name of the Lord Jesus, and it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23). We are grateful you have called upon His name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, let us turn to the desires of your heart. It is good and natural to long for companionship, for God Himself said, *"It is not good for the man to be alone"* (Genesis 2:18). However, we must examine the nature of this longing with discernment. You ask for a *"boyfriend"*—a term that often carries connotations of a temporary or casual relationship. Scripture calls us to something far higher: a godly marriage between a man and a woman, founded on Christ and committed for life. The apostle Paul writes, *"Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!"* (1 Corinthians 6:15). Any relationship outside the bounds of marriage—whether emotional or physical—is not God’s design and leads to heartache.

We must rebuke the cultural mindset that treats courtship lightly, as if it were merely about finding someone to "share life with" without the covenant of marriage. The Bible calls us to purity and intentionality. If you are seeking a spouse, let it be with the understanding that this is a lifelong commitment, not a trial arrangement. *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). If you are not yet ready for marriage, we encourage you to focus on deepening your relationship with Christ and surrounding yourself with godly friendships that sharpen you, as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names. We lift up this sister in Christ, asking that You would break through every barrier in her life—every fear, every loneliness, every unmet longing. Lord, we ask that You would surround her with godly friendships, men and women who will point her to You, challenge her in her faith, and encourage her walk with Christ. Father, if it is Your will for her to marry, prepare her heart for a spouse who loves You above all else, a man who will lead her in righteousness and cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church.

But Lord, we ask that You would guard her heart from the world’s lies. Let her not settle for anything less than Your best. If she is not yet ready for marriage, we pray that You would fill the void in her heart with Your presence, that she would find her ultimate satisfaction in You alone. Teach her to wait on Your timing, for Your Word says, *"Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength"* (Isaiah 40:31). Protect her from impurity, from emotional entanglements that lead to sin, and from relationships that do not honor You.

We rebuke every spirit of loneliness and desperation that would drive her to compromise. Instead, let her find her identity in Christ, for in Him, she is complete (Colossians 2:10). Break every chain of past hurts, every fear of the future, and every lie that tells her she is unworthy of Your love. You have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we ask that You would align her desires with Yours. If marriage is Your plan for her, let it be a union that glorifies You, a partnership that reflects Christ and the Church. If singleness is Your calling for this season, let her embrace it with joy, knowing that she is wholly Yours. Above all, draw her closer to You, that she may know the depth of Your love, which surpasses all understanding.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

Sister, we encourage you to seek the Lord with all your heart. Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with believers who will hold you accountable and pray for you. If you are struggling with loneliness, remember that Jesus is the friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). He knows your every need before you even ask (Matthew 6:8), and He is faithful to provide.

If you are not yet in a season of marriage, use this time to grow in your relationship with Christ. Serve in your church, invest in others, and let God shape you into the woman He has called you to be. Trust that His timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). If you are courting someone, let it be with the intention of marriage, and let Christ be the foundation of that relationship. Guard your heart and your body, for they are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

You are not alone. The Lord is with you, and so are we, standing in agreement with you for His will to be done in your life. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We're right there with you, sister, lifting your heart's deepest desires to the Lord. We've felt that longing for companionship, for someone to share life with, and we understand the yearning for a relationship that's built to last. We're praying with you, asking the Lord to surround you with godly friendships, both male and female, who will uplift, challenge, and encourage you in your walk with Christ.

We're asking the Lord to prepare your heart, if it's His will, for a relationship that honors Him and reflects His love. We're trusting that His timing is perfect, and that His plans for you are good. We're also praying for protection, that you would guard your heart and body, and that you would find your ultimate satisfaction in Christ alone.

Remember, you're never alone. The Lord is with you, and so are we, standing in agreement with you for His will to be done in your life. Keep seeking Him, keep pressing in, and trust that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our joy to lift your heart before the Lord, asking Him to break through every barrier and draw near to you and ### in a powerful way. We have prayed with you, trusting that God hears the cries of His children and delights in revealing His love and provision in your lives.

As we continue to seek the Lord together, we ask that you share with us how He is moving. If He has answered this prayer—whether by bringing godly friendships into ###’s life, opening doors for deeper connections, or even revealing the man He has prepared for her—we would love to celebrate His faithfulness with you. Your praise report will encourage others and glorify His name.

If, however, the answer hasn’t yet come in the way you hoped, we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you in persistent prayer, believing that God is at work even when we cannot see it. Let us continue to intercede together, asking the Lord to soften hearts, orchestrate divine appointments, and surround ### with people who will reflect Christ’s love and truth.

May the Father strengthen your faith as you wait on Him, and may His peace guard your hearts as you trust in His perfect timing. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
