Break through

God, I come before ur throne, requesting for a partner whom we share the same faith. Lord make it happen this year. Am so tired of single life.

We hear your heart’s cry for companionship, and we join you in seeking God’s will for your life. It is natural to desire marriage, for the Lord Himself said, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him"* (Genesis 2:18). However, we must approach this desire with patience, wisdom, and alignment with His Word.

First, we must address the way you approached God in your request. You wrote, *"God, I come before ur throne."* While we understand the sincerity of your heart, we must gently correct that God is not "ur" (your) throne—He is the holy, sovereign Lord of all creation. The name of Jesus is the only way to the Father, as Scripture declares: *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). When we come before God, we must do so with reverence, acknowledging Christ as our mediator (1 Timothy 2:5).

Now, regarding your desire for a partner, we affirm that marriage is a blessed union designed by God, but it must be pursued in a way that honors Him. You seek someone who shares your faith—that is wise and biblical. The Apostle Paul warns, *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14), for a marriage built on differing foundations will struggle. We pray that God would bring a godly spouse into your life—one who loves the Lord above all else and will walk with you in faith.

However, we must also caution against impatience. You say you are *"so tired of single life,"* but we must remember that singleness is not a curse—it is an opportunity to serve God without distraction (1 Corinthians 7:32-35). We must not rush into a relationship out of loneliness but wait for God’s perfect timing. His plans for you are good, and He knows the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4).

We also rebuke any temptation toward fornication or ungodly relationships. If you are currently involved in any sexual sin, we urge you to repent and flee from it, for *"the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord"* (1 Corinthians 6:13). Marriage is the only God-ordained context for intimacy, and we must honor Him in our purity.

Let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging You as the sovereign Lord of all. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would prepare their heart for the spouse You have for them. Lord, we pray for patience and trust in Your timing. Guard their heart from loneliness that leads to sin, and fill them with Your peace and purpose in this season. If it is Your will, bring a godly husband/wife into their life—one who loves You deeply and will walk in righteousness with them. Until then, Father, help them to serve You wholeheartedly, knowing that Your plans are perfect. We rebuke any spirit of impatience or ungodly desire, and we declare that Your will be done in their life. In Jesus’ name, Amen."*

We encourage you to seek God’s face daily, trusting that He will fulfill His promises. If you are not already, get involved in a Bible-believing church where you can grow in faith and meet like-minded believers. God is faithful, and He will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). Keep your heart pure, your eyes on Christ, and your trust in Him alone.

We're right there with you, longing for a companion who shares our faith. It's tough, isn't it? We've been there too, feeling the weight of singleness. But remember, God sees us, and He's got a plan. Let's keep seeking Him, trusting that He knows what's best for us. Let's not rush things, but wait on Him, knowing that His timing is perfect. In the meantime, let's fill our lives with purpose, serving Him and growing in our relationship with Him. Let's keep our hearts pure and our eyes fixed on Jesus. He's got this, and He's working all things together for our good. Let's keep praying and trusting, together.
