Lord Jesus, You ARE The Lord of The Harvest . We urgently ask for workers and laborers to be called, prepared, provided for and "sent out" into Your harvest -- "where You are Your servant will be also," Jn 12:26. Help us understand agricultural crop readiness does not last forever and the ACCEPTABLE TIME is NOW, TODAY is The Day of SALVATION, 2 Cor 6:2. You care for those You died for but don't yet know YouI, "I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen (Israel). I must bring them also (Gentiles, Rom 15:16). They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd," John 10:16, c.f. Micah 5:2-4. "To the Jewish Nation first, then to the Greek," Rom 1:16, "From faith in one saved person to create faith in another person by thr Power of the Gospel," Rom 1:16-17, as, "Faith comes from hearing The Word of Christ PREACHED (ῥήματος ~ rhematos -- spoken message of Christ). You have granted everything we need for life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3, passports, visas, plane tickets, ferry, or remote boat, safe, plane rides, financial provision, accommodations, Matt 6:11, angelic protection, Ps 91:10-16, and ministerial service, open doors and favor, Heb 1:14, and the protection Jesus told us to pray for from temptation, Luke 11:4, Matt 6:13, sin, Ps 119:3, wrongdoing, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, and the evil one, Matt 6:13, even praying in agreement with His very prayer, John 17:15, in Your Name, Jesus, Amen. "We must carry out the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming, when no one can work," John 9:4. "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth, Acts 1:8" -- Blessing and UNITY on evangelist's teams, blessing on families so gospel goes forth with all openness, unhindered, Acts 28: good consciences and power under open heavens, 1 Pet 3:7. We join with you in this passionate cry to the Lord of the Harvest, lifting up the urgent need for laborers to be sent into His fields. The Scriptures you’ve shared burn in our hearts as well, for we know the time is short, and the harvest is truly plentiful. Jesus Himself looked upon the crowds with compassion, seeing them as sheep without a shepherd, and His heart broke for their lost condition. We echo His cry today: "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field" (Matthew 9:37-38 WEB).

You have rightly called upon the Lord to raise up men and women who are not only willing but also equipped, clothed with power from on high, as Jesus promised in Luke 24:49. This power is not for show or personal gain, but to be witnesses to the ends of the earth, just as Acts 1:8 declares. We must remember that this work is not ours alone; it is the Lord’s, and He will provide all that is needed, finances, protection, open doors, and even the very words to speak. "For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for His good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13 WEB). The fields are white for harvest, but the window of opportunity will not remain open forever. As you have rightly noted, "Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2 WEB).

We are also reminded that this harvest is not limited to one people or nation. Jesus came first to the lost sheep of Israel, but His love extends to all, Jew and Gentile alike. "I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice, and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd" (John 10:16 WEB). The Gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, "to the Jew first, and also to the Greek" (Romans 1:16 WEB). This truth must compel us to pray and labor without partiality, knowing that God desires all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Yet we must also address a critical need in this hour: the workers must be those who walk in holiness and obedience to Christ. The harvest is sacred, and those who labor in it must do so with clean hands and pure hearts. Jesus warned, "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21 WEB). This means that those who are sent must be men and women of prayer, steeped in the Word, and led by the Holy Spirit. They must be free from the entanglements of sin, whether it be sexual immorality, greed, or pride, lest they become stumbling blocks to those they seek to save. "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). The enemy seeks to disqualify workers through temptation, but we must stand firm, clothed in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).

We also lift up the families of those who are called to go. The enemy often attacks the home front, seeking to divide and discourage. But we declare that husbands and wives will stand united in their calling, and children will be raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1 WEB). We pray for open heavens over every team, that signs, wonders, and miracles will follow the preaching of the Word, just as Mark 16:20 promises. Let the sick be healed, the demon-possessed delivered, and the lost saved as the Gospel is proclaimed with power and authority.

Father, we come before You as Your humble servants, asking that You would thrust forth laborers into the harvest. Raise up men and women who will preach the Gospel with boldness, who will love the lost with the same compassion You have shown us. Provide for their every need, financially, spiritually, and physically. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, and let Your angels encamp around them (Psalm 91:11). Clothe them with power from on high, and let Your Spirit fill them to overflowing. Open doors that no man can shut, and let Your Word run swiftly and be glorified (2 Thessalonians 3:1).

We also pray for those who have yet to hear the Gospel. Soften their hearts, Lord, and prepare them to receive Your truth. Let them hear Your voice and respond in faith. Break the chains of darkness that bind them, and let the light of Christ shine into their lives. "How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14 WEB). Send Your workers, Lord, and let the harvest be gathered in.

We stand in agreement with Your prayer, Jesus, that Your people would be one, even as You and the Father are one (John 17:21). Let there be unity among Your laborers, that the world may know that You were sent by the Father. Let love, humility, and mutual submission mark those who go forth in Your name. And let the glory be Yours alone, for You are the Lord of the Harvest.

There’s something stirring in the way you keep bringing this before the Lord, not just a passing thought, but a deep, persistent plea for the harvest and for workers. We sense the weight of it, and we carry it with you. When compassion like that of Jesus rises up in us for the crowds, it’s never random. Often it’s a sign that God is widening our own hearts to be part of the answer, even in ways we hadn’t seen before.

We know you’re asking first for others to be sent, for provision, protection, open doors, and the Spirit’s power on those who go. We ask for that alongside you. At the same time, we’ve learned that prayers for workers often become the soil where our own call grows. Maybe you’re already serving somewhere; maybe you’re praying on your knees. Either way, your prayers are not wasted words. They align us with what Jesus is already doing, and they make us ready for whatever part He gives us, whether across the street or across the sea.

As you keep asking the Lord of the harvest, don’t be surprised if He also whispers to you, “You are one of them.” Not to guilt you, but to invite you deeper into the story. The time is urgent, and yet it’s also an everyday calling, to speak, to care, to go where He leads, with the same compassion He put in you. That compassion is no small thing; it’s His own.

So we pray with you now:

Lord Jesus, You see the fields and the need. Stir up and send out workers clothed in Your power and love. Provide every practical need, visas, protection, unity, and guard them from the evil one. Let many hear and believe. And as we wait on You, shape our own lives into the answer, however You choose. We trust You with it all. Amen.

The cry you have lifted for labourers, freshly anointed with the Spirit, clothed with power from on high, tells me your own heart has been stirred by the same compassion that moved our Lord when He saw the multitudes. The harvest is plenteous indeed, and the eye of faith sees it whitening even now. Every soul that as yet knows not the Shepherd is a lost sheep, and a lost sheep is a painful subject of thought to any who love the Shepherd. You pray for workers because you know that the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost, and He has not ceased from that dear work. The sheep is foolish; it will not return of itself. It is destroyed in its wandering, lost to God, lost to holiness, lost to hope. But none are too vile for His salvation! He who left the ninety-nine for the one will not rest until that one is laid upon His shoulders, rejoicing. Every lost one He brings back becomes an occasion of heavenly joy, a gala day for the flock below and the angels above.

Yet do you not see that your own prayer is a throb of the Shepherd’s heart within you? For He sends His sheep into the midst of wolves, saying, “I send you.” What a wonder! The very sheep He purchased with His blood He thrusts forth into danger, because there are other sheep not of this fold, whom He must also bring. I rejoice that you urge the Lord of the harvest to send workers, but forget not the order of the exhortation: after our Lord bade them pray, He said, “Go your ways; behold, I send you.” We are labourers together with God; we sow, we water, we tend the lame of the flock, those broken by harsh shepherds, those constitutionally prone to doubt. Love alone can feed them. Love to the Master breeds love for all His sheep, and this love is the true power over souls. Feed, feed, feed, that is the grand business.

Expect a harvest joy. There is a joy in reaping what has cost much toil, in seeing children converted, saints edified, the poor and maimed brought home. And beyond this, there is the eternal harvest, when all the wheat shall be gathered into the garner, and not one grain lost, for God insures the crop. The night is hastening when no man can work; therefore, let every accepted moment be seized. Pray on, but labour also. Go after the lost sheep, whether it hides in the gulley or wanders on the boundless plain. He who sends forth will go with you, and the joy of bringing back even one destroyed one will be a pledge of that consummate Harvest Home, where we shall forever be with the Lord.

The prayer itself is a sermon, and a good one, for it is woven from the very words of Scripture. This is as it should be, for what are our words but vanity unless they are the echo of God’s own voice? You have laid hold of the Master’s own command, to entreat the Lord of the harvest. You see the multitude, harassed and helpless, and your cry ascends for laborers. This is a sign of a soul already beginning to share in the compassion of Christ, for He was moved with compassion when He saw the crowds, and such a prayer could only spring from a heart likewise moved.

Yet consider, when He saw the multitude and declared the laborers few, He did not then create new apostles from the dust. He took the twelve, those already with Him, and He sent them. He made them many, not by increasing their number, but by granting them power. The harvest is indeed plenteous, and the need is urgent. But the Lord of the harvest often answers the prayer for workers by turning the one who prays into the worker, or by opening the eyes of the one who prays to see the laborers already standing idle in the marketplace. The sickle of the Word came down at Pentecost with a sound as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting with one accord. That unity of love, that “same mind” which the Apostle begged of the Philippians, is itself the tinder upon which the fire of the Spirit falls. Pray therefore, but with this understanding: the power for which you ask is not promised to the merely eloquent or the well-funded. The promise is to those who are clothed with power from on high, who, like Paul, can say they bear in their body the marks of the Lord Jesus, enduring hunger, peril, and sleeplessness for the sake of the Gospel. This is no comfortable mission.

And in this holy urgency, let your first prayer for these workers be that they might be true ones. For there are deceitful workers who take the mask of truth and put on the appearance of an apostle, and they do work, but it is to pull up what has been planted. The world is full of voices, but the sheep know the Shepherd’s voice and will not follow a stranger. Pray then that these sent ones come not with the wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ be made of no effect, but with a good conscience and a life that is itself a sermon. The greatest confirmation of the authentic message is not a visible sign, for the workers of iniquity themselves will one day boast of many wonderful works, but a character that reflects the thing preached. That is the true clothing with power: a love that suffers long, a compassion that does not merely speak of the Father’s heart but shows it, burning to rescue others from a hunger far more grievous than the body knows. This is the worker the Lord sends, the one who comes in the Spirit of the one true Shepherd, seeking not his own provision, but the lost sheep.

Your prayer echoes the very burden Jesus placed on His disciples when He saw the crowds, harassed and helpless. You are asking the Lord of the harvest to thrust out laborers, and that is precisely what He commanded us to ask. That kind of prayer is not a casual request; it springs from a heart that has begun to share His compassion. And that compassion is something only He can give. We cannot stir it up on our own, not really. We may feel flashes of pity, but true, compelling love for the lost that drives us to intercession comes from God. So as you cry out, you are already touching something of His own heart.

Jesus saw the multitude and was moved with compassion because they were like sheep without a shepherd. He saw them as a harvest ready to be gathered, fields white and waiting. The need is overwhelming, the workers remain few, and the window does not stay open indefinitely. Now, today, remains the day of salvation. So your prayer is urgent and right. Keep asking the Lord of the harvest to send laborers. But hold that request with open hands, because often the one who prays that prayer begins to hear the follow-up question: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” The disciples prayed as Jesus told them, and then the very next thing He did was send them out. Praying prepares us for going. Could it be that your own cry is the first nudge toward a harvest field you have not yet considered?

Do not let the size of the task or a sense of your own inadequacy silence you. The laborers are few, but the harvest is His, the power is His, and the love is His. The Holy Spirit is the one who searches for the lost, like the woman sweeping the house to find the coin. The Good Shepherd goes after the straying sheep. The Father scans the horizon for the returning son. We are caught up in that search, but the initiative and the power belong to Him. So pray for workers, and be willing to be one, though it may look different than you imagine. You may be sent across the street; you may be sent across the ocean. Either way, the same compassion that drove Jesus to the towns and villages must fuel you, and He will supply it.

I appreciate that you long for the gospel to go forth with power, with signs that confirm the message. That desire is not wrong. The early church prayed for boldness and for God to stretch out His hand to heal. Jesus gave the disciples authority, and He said they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them. Yet be careful not to make power itself the focus. There is something within us that can easily get tangled up in power trips, but the more excellent way is love. The greatest evidence of the Spirit’s work is a life transformed, a heart that repents and turns to God, and a love that lays itself down for others. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. That is the grand end: lost ones found, sinners returning, and heaven rejoicing. Let that joy be what fuels you, more than the desire to see outward displays.

So continue to pray. Ask for laborers. Ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to be on those who go. Ask for protection, open doors, and the right words. But above all, ask for a fresh baptism of His compassion in your own heart. Pray that you would see people as Jesus sees them. And be ready. The Lord of the harvest may answer your prayer by sending you into the field right where you are, or calling you somewhere new. The work is great, but the harvest is His, and He is faithful.
